IHOP brings back fan-favorite all-you-can-eat deal – here’s where you can get yours
IHOP has brought back all-you-can-eat pancakes — and you might even be able to get them for free.
The breakfast-focused chain, which has about 1,700 locations in the U.S., is relaunching the deal in preparation for the start of the school year — and it runs through Sept. 15
According to bosses at International House of Pancakes, the aim is to ‘help families who are busy and have little money due to shopping’. The deal is normally due to run in January.
There are two variations on the deal. Order a breakfast combo and get unlimited pancakes.
Or, if you just want pancakes, pay $5 for an unlimited supply.

Anyway, the first serving is a short stack, and then two are served at a time. The idea is to reduce food waste.
The offering is limited to buttermilk pancakes and is valid for dine-in guests only.
A stack of pancakes typically costs between $8 and $12, depending on the location.
In addition to the all-you-can-eat pancakes, IHOP also launched Original and Butter Pecan Syrup flavors in grocery stores nationwide earlier this month.
The chain teamed up with Kraft Heinz to “shake up the breakfast aisle with a delicious syrup for breakfast items like pancakes, waffles and French toast.”
Candice Jacobson of IHOP said, “Pancakes and syrup are our specialty, so expanding our partnership with Kraft Heinz to develop IHOP syrups for retail was a no-brainer.”
Fast food deals are on the rise
Chains are reeling from declining customer numbers as Americans fed up with two years of price increases stay away. That’s why so many cheap fast-food options are hitting the market this summer.
Burger King’s $5 Your Way Meal – choice of one of three sandwiches plus four chicken nuggets, fries and a soft drink – was the first to appear in restaurants in June.

McDonald’s offer is similar and includes a McChicken or McDouble, four pieces of chicken nuggets, fries and a drink – for $5.
Initially, the arrangement applied for four weeks, but it now also applies to the rest of the summer at most restaurants.
Wendy’s has a breakfast deal for $3 and also a four-course meal for $5, similar to McDonald’s and BK’s.
McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s have all been undercut by a $4 deal from smaller national chain Krispy Krunchy Chicken.
Starbucks also made a surprise entry into the value-for-money space with a coffee and breakfast combo starting at $5.
