World number one Iga Swiatek had further problems at Wimbledon after she was booed on Court One and was knocked out in the third round by Yulia Putintseva.
Swiatek was on a 21-match winning streak and looked set to reach the last 16 at the All England Club when she won the opening match, but the Kazakh player hit back with a brilliant second set that saw her break twice.
Four-time French Open champion Swiatek ran off the court before the deciding round and when she eventually returned she was booed by the impatient crowd.
It looked like the No. 1 was losing her pace and she scored, giving No. 30 Putintseva an impressive 3-6 6-1 6-2 victory on her third match point.
Moscow-born Putintseva soaked up the adulation before saying during her on-court interview: “It feels great, it feels really great.
