Idaho teen who was thrown from her car onto a power line where she hung by her broken leg for an HOUR crashed after seeing ex-boyfriend kiss another girl – but has now found NEW love
An Idaho teen who was left hanging from a power line after a car crash catapulted her into the air after seeing her then-boyfriend kissing another girl has found new love.
Kennedy Littledike, 19, crashed her car on May 22, 2021, when she became emotional behind the wheel while going through a breakup.
The teen, who was 16 years old at the time, was driving back from watching the sunset with two friends when she started crying and veered off the road.
Littledike felt heartbroken after seeing her ex-boyfriend kissing another girl as the couple broke up a few days earlier.
She recalled, “My then-boyfriend and I had broken up two days earlier, so I was still kind of a wreck.
“I’m pretty sure I saw something that day that he was already making out with another girl, so I think that may have been the cause of everything.”

The 19-year-old was thrown dozens of meters into the air and became stuck on an electricity cable, where she hung from her broken leg for more than an hour.
The Idaho teen ultimately lost her leg in the crash, but says landing on the power line saved her life because the electricity cauterized a torn artery and kept her from bleeding it out.
Littledike and her two friends, Nakia Molina and Jacob Rasmussen, were seriously injured in the rollover crash that threw all three from the car.
Molina was knocked unconscious and Rasmussen was bleeding profusely when neighbors and relatives found him.
While both teens suffered shattered vertebrae and broken bones, among other injuries, they later made a full recovery.
Littledike was thrown 30 feet into the air, but the way she landed on the power line ultimately saved her life.
Despite suffering serious injuries that could have claimed her life, Littledike has now found love again – after recently celebrating one year with her new boyfriend Alec Bingham.
“As I was being thrown, my arm was torn off, left hanging by the skin on my back, and then my thigh was snapped over the wire and hanging in front of my face,” Littledike said.
‘A lot of people ask, “How did you not bleed to death?” Well, the main artery in my leg was pinched by the power line, and then the main artery in my arm was cauterized when I was electrocuted.”
She continued, “I remember I was drowning in my blood because it was pouring out of my leg, it was pouring out of my arm, and it went up my nose, and I just wiped it away because it was literally drowning me .’
Littledike required 21 surgeries to treat a broken femur, humerus and collarbone, as well as a brachial plexus injury.
“I don’t know what happened to me in the hospital, but I had such a smooth transition from such a bad mental health state to such a positive one,” said the 19-year-old

She also recounted a painful encounter with the ex-boyfriend, who admitted he was afraid of her amputation.
Littledike said, “What hurt me most was that boy who broke my heart before coming over after I came home from the hospital.
“I was joking like, ‘Oh, are you afraid of that?’ and he said, “Yes, actually.” It really hit me, and after he said that, I just struggled with it.”
Recalling the incident, she added, “(A first responder) just grabbed my leg and had to get it out of the wire, and you just saw my body fall lifeless onto the stretcher,” she said.
‘They put on the tourniquet and had to take my bone off the wire again. And they said I screamed. And once I hit the stretcher, it was quiet.
“I’ve had a total of five amputations because they were trying to save as much as possible because the more leg you have to walk with a prosthetic leg, the easier it is,” Littledike explained.
“So they tried to take it through my knee. My leg kept rotting because the bone was broken so high up. Every other day they went in and took more legs.

‘And to be operated on again and again, cutting off more and more legs. In the end they just cut him to the bone.”
The teen recalled the moment her father told her she was losing her leg and said the room “felt heavy.”
‘I thought, “Has one of my friends lost a limb?” And he said, “No.” And I said, “Well, I’m glad I’m the one who lost it since I was driving,” Littledike recalled.
‘At that moment you are 16 years old. All the dreams you had in your head are all gone.”
‘I was done with it within twenty minutes. I literally said it. I named my nub Gobi, and I made a whole dance for it. “I don’t know what happened to me in the hospital, but I had such a smooth transition from such a bad mental health state to such a positive one.”
Since her crash, Littledike has built a social media presence by sharing her story and finding humor in the situation.
‘Before my accident, I struggled with my mental health. I wanted to commit suicide. I never really planned my future because I didn’t think there would be one. “I wasn’t happy,” she said.
“I look back and think, ‘Wow, you’re pathetic.’ But because, now look at me. I’m in a very different, more difficult situation, but I’m so much happier.’
