Iconic McLeod’s Daughters stars are set to join the cast of Home and Away

Two stars from the much-loved Australian TV series McLeod’s Daughters are set to join the cast of Home and Away.

Rachael Carpani and Aaron Jeffery will both make their debuts for Summer Bay later this year.

Rachael is best known for her role as Jodi Fountain in McLeod’s Daughters. She previously had a small role in Home and Away (2001), where she was a waitress in a restaurant.

Aaron played the role of Alex Ryan in the 2000s drama series and also had roles in Wentworth and Water Rats.

Actress Rachael, 43, will appear on Home and Away as newcomer Claudia Salini, with the character’s name set to be revealed on her acting resume.

It is not stated whether she will appear as a guest or as a main character.

Meanwhile, Aaron, 53, will make his first appearance on the show as guest star James ‘Jimmy’ Fowler.

Given his character’s name, it’s likely he’ll play the father of Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) and Levi (Tristan Gorey) Fowler.

This comes amid rumours that their sister Abigail, played by Hailey Pinto, will arrive in Summer Bay later this year in a mysterious new storyline.

A fan shared a photo of the cast filming in Sydney’s Palm Beach, where new drama has rocked the Fowler family.

According to the BBC, Aaron and Rachael’s roles on Home and Away have also led to rumours that Seven could be picking up a long-awaited reboot of McLeod’s Daughters. Hurrah!.

The show originally aired on Channel Nine, but plans for a reboot fell through in 2017 due to “creative differences with a third party” and the project has yet to make it to screen.

Elsewhere this week, Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli hinted that Kate Ritchie will be returning to Home and Away.

The 45-year-old star rose to fame playing Sally Fletcher in the popular soap series between 1988 and 2008. She has often spoken publicly about a possible return to Summer Bay.

This week her Nova colleague Wippa dropped a big hint that she would be returning to the show, after rumors of her comeback had been circulating for a long time.

“I know you’re going back to the Bay,” he told Kate live on the radio. “I saw your emails while I was sitting next to you in the office.”

Kate jokingly replied, “No you don’t, you have bad eyesight.”

Rumours of Kate’s return were reignited last week when she took part in an epic Home and Away reunion at Ray Meagher’s 80th birthday.

The actress shared a glimpse into the fun festivities via her Instagram Stories, which took place two weeks before Ray’s big birthday on July 4.

Fan favourite Ray has played the role of Alf Stewart on Home and Away since the very first episode in 1988.
