Iconic gowns from Princess Diana and Grace Kelly will be among the top-dollar items for sale at auction
During Julien's Auctions' Unstoppable: Signature Styles of Iconic Women in Fashion event, a pair of dresses worn by real-life iconic princesses will be up for bid.
A black silk velvet cocktail dress worn by Princess Diana, designed by Catherine Walker, is one of the largest items up for bid and is estimated to fetch between $100,000 and $200,000.
Another expensive item is a kelly green dress from Givenchy, worn by Grace Kelly when she was Princess of Monaco, and expected to sell for between $60,000 and $80,000.
Other items include Nicole Kidman's sequin dress from The Stepford Wives, Cher's Dolce & Gabbana pants and Paris Hilton's Louis Verdad dress from her album cover.
The online auction will take place on Thursday, January 11 at Julien's Live.

The Princess Di dress was worn to a private event and features an “off-the-shoulder neckline, a princess seam and boning bodice and bias-cut ivory satin accents sewn at the neckline, cuffs and hem.”
Walker created some of Di's most iconic garments, with three recent dresses selling for a combined $1.6 million at a recent auction.

Kelly was pictured in the dress as she and her husband Prince Rainier met US President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Onassis.
From real-life royalty to Hollywood royalty, a dress worn by Audrey Hepburn is also up for bid.
Hepburn wore this Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche matelassé ecru dress with a blue velvet sash to her son Luca's baptism in 1970, which is expected to sell for between $10,000 and $20,000.
Another item from Hepburn's personal wardrobe up for bid is a Greek-inspired evening dress from the 1970s, referencing the flapper style dresses of the 1920s, designed by Haitian American designer Fabrice Simon, estimated at between $8,000 and $10,000.

Liz's Caftan: Another Hollywood legend, Elizabeth Taylor, will have a number of items up for bid, the most prominent of which is a caftan seen in the movie Boom! from 1968.
Tiziani's ivory jersey kaftan-inspired jumpsuit was designed by Karl Lagerfeld in her role as “Sissy Goforth” in the film Boom! from 1968. starring Richard Burton.
The kaftan features white seashells sewn together and clustered on the neckline and cuffs and comes with a matching pair of seashell earrings, estimated to fetch between $4,000 and $6,000.
One of the more modern pieces is a pair of trousers and pumps from Dolce & Gabbana, worn by Cher at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in 2000.
The trousers are described as 'peacock feather-hued brocade trousers with peacock feathers and slits, decorated with faceted, pastel-colored set stones and gold seed beads.'
The lot comes with “Dolce and Gabbana brocade sling-backs with faceted glass beads on the shoe tops, pink leather-lined soles,” with an estimate between $3,000 and $5,000.
Also up for bid is Joan Collins' 2018 jeweled Alexander McQueen asymmetrical peplum blazer.

The cashmere-blend cape in the house's signature Valentino red features arm slits at the front and a hook-and-eye closure at the neckline, estimated at $1,000-$2,000.

The dress was designed by Marc Jacobs and Julie de Libran, which Summer wore to an appearance at the Louis Vuitton store in London and was estimated to sell for $3,000 to $5,000.
Also going under the hammer is a Burburry London trench coat with gold metallic coating worn by Whitney Houston in 2008, which is expected to fetch between $3,000 and $4,000.
Lady Gaga's white patent leather trench coat, which she showed off on her Instagram in 2018 by Georgian designer Tamuna Ingorovka, is estimated to sell for $3,000 to $4,000.
