Iconic Bondi restaurant Pasticceria Papa abruptly closes after 10 years in business: ‘So gutted’
Beloved pastry chef and restaurant Pasticceria Papa has closed its Bondi store after 10 years.
The iconic patisserie, known for selling a delicious range of traditional Italian sweets, gelato, cakes and paninis, closed its doors on Sunday 28 April.
The company shared the news on Instagram with its 21,000 fans, leaving thousands devastated.
‘Thank you everyone for your messages and tips about where you would like to see us next. We will miss Bondi very much!’ read the message.
“We have had ten fantastic years at Bondi Beach and are so grateful to the local Bondi community for supporting us over the years.

“Closing our Bondi Beach location was not an easy decision for us, but our lease has now ended.
‘We have decided to close this chapter and look forward to new ventures. Stay tuned for what Papa’s has in store.”

‘So sad that you’re leaving. Thanks for the delicious meats and the best coffee in Bondi,” one person wrote.
“The store will be greatly missed but has certainly left fond memories for the Bondi community,” said another.
“Where am I going to get my cheesecakes?” asked a third.
The Five Dock and Haberfield stores in Sydney’s west will continue to operate as normal.
