Iconic Aussie brand Jim’s Mowing makes unlikely business move: ‘I can’t believe this is real’
Australian gardening company Jim’s Mowing has made an unlikely business move and expanded into the beauty industry.
Jim’s Beauty launched on November 1 and offers teeth whitening, waxing, spray tans, manicures, pedicures, eyelash and eyebrow tinting and facials.
There is even a bridal package with hair and makeup artists on hand to meet the client’s needs on their big day.
The venture shocked Australians as Jim’s Mowing is best known for its gardening services, although many were tempted to book a beauty appointment.

The newest franchise offers a mobile service where a Jim’s Beauty employee comes to the customer’s home.
But alternatively, the customer also has the choice to come to the franchisee’s studio if desired.
Jim Penman founded Jim’s Mowing in 1982 with an investment of $24. Today, Jim’s Group has more than 5,000 franchisees in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The brand also offers a stack of lesser-known alternatives, including dog washing, finance, construction, cleaning, pool maintenance, plumbing, car detailing and party rentals.
There is also a podcast aptly titled Jim’s Podcast.

Mom Sally came across Jim’s Beauty and shared her thoughts in a TikTok video.
‘Look at this s***. “I think it’s fucking hilarious that this is real and I’m so tempted to book something,” she said.
‘Shall I do it? I’m pretty sure they’re coming to you.”
After three days, the video was viewed more than 1.4 million times and 223 people asked about the service.
Despite the excitement, the service is only offered in a limited number of locations.

Hundreds shared their disbelief in the comments, claiming Jim “does everything.”
“Jim has that hustle,” one person noted, while another added, “Jim is THE entrepreneur of our time.”
