icky Pattinson says she has had her eggs and embryos frozen as a ‘fertility savings account
Vicky Pattison has revealed that her frozen eggs and embryos are a “fertility savings account” after undergoing the process as a backup if she can’t conceive naturally.
The TV personality, 35, admitted that while she hopes not to have to use the eggs, she doesn’t want to be in a position where she “only wants to have a child at 40.”
Vicky recently explained that she doesn’t feel ready to have a child with her fiancé Ercan, 29, and believes freezing her embryos and her eggs will “ease the pressure.”
During an interview with Thank youVicky harks back to her failed engagement to her ex John Noble and confessed that she doesn’t want to be in the same position twice.
Vicky, who is engaged to Ercan Ramadan, said: ‘All my life I felt tied to an imaginary timeline: find a man, get married, have a baby. When my engagement ended, I thought of freezing eggs as a way to secure my future happiness.’

‘I think of it as a savings account, tucked away just to be on the safe side. I love Ercan, we are planning a wedding, we have two dogs and a house together, but honestly I’ve been here before.
“And I would hate being alone in my fortines and wanting a child and not being able to have one.”
Despite using the process as a “plan b,” according to a recent medical report, there is a three percent success rate among women who freeze their eggs in their late 30s.
Vicky also just froze her eggs in case she and Ercan split up in the future and she wanted to have a baby.
According to the UK fertility regulator, the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority (HFEA), the number of women freezing their eggs or embryos increased by 523 percent between 2013 and 2018.
Earlier this year, the regulator called for an update to ensure fertility clinics make patients aware of the financial, physical and emotional burden of the process.
Reports suggest that two-thirds of fertility cycles involve women over the age of 35 and egg retrieval costs between £2,000 and £4,000.
This is without factoring in the cost of egg storage (£350 a year) and IVF, bringing the total cost to around £8,000.
Her new interview comes after Vicky opened up about her struggles with body image and admitted feeling insecure about her figure before flying to Dubai.

Vicky, who was recovering from collecting her eggs prior to the trip, flew to the UAE with a group of her friends.
The recent medical procedure has left her bloated and inflamed, with the star explaining she is “amazed” at the work her body has done.
But despite being in awe of her body, Vicky admitted that she was also “angry about it” because she was worried about her image.
She explained, “This thought process isn’t something I’m proud of, but it’s super hard to escape a life where you’ve been conditioned to believe you’re only attractive if you’re a certain size or shape.”
Struggle: Her new interview comes after Vicky opened up about her struggles with her body image and admitted feeling insecure about her figure before flying to Dubai
Vicky took to her Instagram page and shared a triple collage of photos taken in just a T-shirt and her underwear.
The TV personality showed off her real body in the natural snaps and told her 5.3 million followers about the struggles she faces.
She wrote, “The human body is pretty amazing… isn’t it? For the past two weeks my little body has been pumped full of hormones, manipulated to make 10 eggs, 9 of which were mature and ready for the next stages! It has literally created life – Potentially 9 times!
“It’s done a lot more than I ever expected in such a short time – it’s really incredible. And do you know the craziest?? Is that even after all I’ve been through, all it’s done for me.. I’m mad about it.’
Vicky added where her insecurities come into play and continued, “I should be celebrating everything my body has given me and instead I’m worried about how I’ll look next week in a bikini in Dubai. And please don’t think how bland and superficial that is wasted on me.. This thought process is not something I’m proud of but it’s super hard to escape a lifetime of being conditioned to believe that you’re only attractive if you are a specific size or shape.
“I know I’m a big believer in loving the skin you’re in…even if it’s not your usual skin.” So this may seem a bit hypocritical… But with the recent changes in my body being so sudden… I haven’t even had a chance to wrap my head around it yet. But I promise I will.
“My giant sore and swollen breasts, my bloated tummy and my flabby boy ass are proof of what my tiny body has given me – which is an opportunity for future happiness and I should be more than thankful for it.” Don’t speak negatively about it and wish it were something else. But sometimes those intrusive little thoughts creep in, don’t they?
‘The past few days have been challenging’: Vicky recently described her ‘painful’ recovery from egg retrieval this week when she gave fans an update on the freezing process
Vicky underwent the egg retrieval procedure in April and shared some snaps from the hospital as she admitted that her recovery from the medical procedure was “more painful” and “more difficult” than expected.
While explaining it had been a “challenging few days,” the brunette beauty added the good news that 10 eggs had been recovered.
The retrieval is part of the egg-freezing process and is an ultrasound-guided procedure that usually takes 20-30 minutes, with the patient placed under anesthesia.
And Vicky’s update is the latest in a series, where she’s kept fans updated on her journey.
She told new! magazine: “I just froze my eggs, but freezing embryos has a better success rate, so I do both,” she told New! magazine.
Here we go: In the first photo, she was decked out in the hospital gown, ready for the procedure
“I’m 35, but I don’t want a child right now. I am not done. No one is ready, Ercan and I have been dating for four years and he’s 29. The last thing I want is to force him into a situation where he doesn’t trust or isn’t ready and then gets angry.’
Vicky added that because of her struggle to find the perfect wedding venue with the ‘wow factor’, they might have a baby before they get married.
“The marriage process was more challenging than I expected. We may not get married first, it may be the year after, because I don’t have to be married to have a
