Ice Spice confessed that she felt completely lost when she attended one of the most watched sporting events in the world with her friend and colleague Taylor Swift.
While reminiscing about the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVIII victory earlier this year alongside her friend and colleague Taylor Swift, the 24-year-old rapper admitted she had “no idea” what happened at the football game.
“I was incredibly confused. I’m still confused,” she said during her appearance on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The artist, who rose to popularity after going viral on TikTok in 2021, said all her prior knowledge about football “just disappeared” when she walked into Allegiant Stadium.
“Honestly, I would just wait for Taylor to cheer,” In Ha Mood explained of how she knew when to clap.

Many social media users at the time suspected that Ice Spice was confused, given her puzzled look and bewildered facial expressions at various points during the game.
It was a logical choice to follow Swift’s lead, since the 34-year-old pop star has learned a lot about soccer since she started dating Travis Kelce last year.
During her interview for Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, the 14-time Grammy winner credited her new relationship with introducing her to America’s favorite sport.
“Football is great, it turns out,” she cheered. “I’ve missed it my whole life.”
Last season she was something of a lucky charm for the team, as Kelce’s team won 10 of the 13 games she competed in.
To reach Super Bowl LVIII, Swift flew 5,550 miles (8,880 kilometers) around the world, starting in Tokyo, Japan.
During the game she was joined by Ice Spice, Blake Lively and her good friend Ashley Avignone.
Ice Spice’s latest comments about Swift come after she defended their friendship during an interview with Rolling stone.

“I was incredibly confused. I’m still confused,” she said during her appearance on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In the interview, the rapper addressed the “gross” claims that the singer-songwriter, 34, is using her for influence and that their friendship is fake.
In the interview, the rapper addressed the “rude” claims that the 34-year-old singer-songwriter is abusing her for influence and that their friendship is fake.
‘[It’s] “So rude to me,” she said.[Because] why wouldn’t she want to be my girlfriend? Taylor fucks me.’
In the same song, Swift heaped praise on the Think U the S*** hitmaker, while Spice said the superstar is her “best celebrity friend.”
Additionally, the Bronx native also discussed a number of other topics, including her alleged feud with Nicki Minaj, the spat with Latto and Y2K!, her debut album in her cover story.
In her cover story, Spice and Swift spoke about their mutual respect and admiration for each other.
“She’s so funny,” Spice, whose real name is Isis Naija Gaston, said of the pop mogul. “I think our personalities mesh really well.”
In May 2023, the duo collaborated on a remix of Swift’s song Karma and released an accompanying music video.
Spice told Rolling Stone that she “cried hysterically” when Swift called about a collaboration.
“I remember my manager calling me. Normally he would text me, but now he called and said, ‘Are you ready for this?’ And I thought it was going to be bad news or something,” she recalled.

“He’s like, ‘Taylor Swift has a record for you to put on from her album.’ I play it cool on the phone. I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s cool. Super cool.’ And then I hang up the phone and I’m crying hysterically. I’m sitting in my walk-in closet and I’m like, ‘Bro, this isn’t real life.'”
Swift also responded to Spice’s cover story, praising her friend’s creativity, curiosity and dedication.
“I love it when I meet a new artist who is not only interested in the music, but in the music industry and how it works,” she told the publication.
“I’ve seen our industry try to convince artists that they’re better off just being creative and making music and letting the labels and management do the rest,” she continued.
“It’s really exciting for me to see how Ice focuses on the strategic, financial and business aspects of her career. The more artists learn about the inner workings of the music industry, the more power they can have in their creative world,” she said.
“I knew from the questions she was asking and the observations she was making that she didn’t want to just be a passenger in her own career,” she added. “She wanted to be the driver of it.”

The duo also proved that they have a connection not only musically, but also on a personal level.
After releasing their collaboration on Karma, Spice and Swift became friends after the rapper surprised her with an onstage performance during her Eras Tour concert in New Jersey.
Shortly after, Spice revealed that she and Swift “talk all the time.”
She also said she felt honored when Swift told her she was a fan of her January 2023 EP. Do you like it…?
“I was like, ‘You’ve ruined my project? What? She’s so sweet,'” she told The Guardian. “I was so obsessed with how humble she was and how willing she was to work. She gave me so much advice. We talk all the time and she’s so funny.”

During her cover story, Spice also opened up about how their friendship endured the drama that arose when Swift’s ex, The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, made “racially insensitive” comments.
“I was actually late to it,” Spice admitted to the outlet. “I didn’t know about it until a month later or something. He apologized multiple times, but I didn’t realize how big it was to other people. I think people just wanted something to be mad about. I wasn’t mad or sad or anything. I was just kind of confused. I never really cared about that.”
Although Swift and Healy’s romance is now over, Spice says she still listens to The 1975: “I’m a huge fan.”
Despite everything, their friendship remains strong. Spice shared that she had a great time with Swift, who she called her “sister,” at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September.
She told Variety, “That’s my sister. We were talking about a lot of stuff. She’s so funny. We had a little bit of something. Just chatting, vibing.”
