Ice Spice addresses Nicki Minaj feud as she lands Rolling Stone cover ahead of Y2K album release: ‘I don’t give a sh** about hate because I won’

Ice herbs are Rolling stone‘s latest cover star, and in the issue she discussed a range of topics, including her alleged feud with Nicki Minaj, the feud with Latto, and her upcoming debut album.

The 24-year-old Bronx native — who recently released a track with Central Cee called Did It First — told writer Jeff Ihaza, “When people ask me, ‘Oh, how you dealing with the hate?’ I don’t give a fuck, ’cause I won, bro. I win at life.

‘I can only be thankful for people who talk sh**, for people who support me. Everything that comes with the area, I can only be thankful for.’

As for her relationship with fellow American Minaj, 41 — with whom she collaborated on the song “Barbie World” for the Barbie movie soundtrack last year — Ice said, “We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good.”

This follows leaked messages from a former girlfriend of Spice earlier this year, in which she described the rapper as “delusional” and “ungrateful” due to frustrations over contract negotiations.

Ice Spice is Rolling Stone’s latest cover star and in the issue she discussed a range of topics, including her alleged feud with Nicki Minaj, her fight with Latto and her upcoming debut album.

The 24-year-old Bronx native told writer Jeff Ihaza, “When people ask me, ‘Oh, how do you deal with the hate?’ I don’t give a shit because I won, bro. I win at life.”

Ice, born Isis Gaston, explained: “We’re mutual. We’ve broken records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.”

She turned her attention to the ‘frenemy’, saying: ‘I think the saddest thing about the whole situation is that this is someone I’ve known for so many years and called my friend. I opened up and made myself vulnerable and she took advantage of that for her own good.

“That was actually the saddest part, I felt used.”

Ice also mused about the Super Bass hitmaker: “She’s so busy. I don’t think she really cares that this shit is coming from some random girl.”

She clarified: ‘But what I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiations. I could have [chosen] ‘different words.’

In summary, she praised Minaj as “someone I respect as an artist.”

“I will always have admiration for everything she did for me and the culture,” she stressed.

She was less positive about rapper Latto. She described the tensions between the two as follows: ‘I can understand a friendly competition, but I feel like it’s a joke she’s just pulling out of the closet, and that’s just not funny.’

The 24-year-old Bronx native told writer Jeff Ihaza, “When people ask me, ‘Oh, how do you deal with the hate?’ I don’t give a shit because I won, bro. I win at life.”

She also noted that there is no real ‘problem’ between the two.

“I feel like if we ever talked and I asked her, ‘What’s the problem?’ it would be like a blank stare. It really wouldn’t be a problem at all. Certainly not from me,” she said, implying that the beef is one-sided.

Early that year, Gaston released the song Think U The Sh*t, which quickly caught on and became a viral hit.

Rumors circulated that the message was addressed to 25-year-old Latto, real name Alyssa Stephens.

In June, the Ohio-born Big Mama hitmaker shared a poop emoji cake in honor of her headlining performance at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash concert in Atlanta.

The caption read: ‘You think I’m the shit, bitch?????’

In her Rolling Stone interview, Ice responded, “Like, bro, Think U the Sh*t is from January. You’re gonna post a piece of sh*tbcake to announce something that’s good news for you?”

On the other hand, she thought, ‘But it’s kind of a compliment, because you’re taking something that was supposed to be a fun moment for you and making it about me again.’

In late January, Isis announced her debut album and shared the title with her millions of online followers.

“I definitely wanted to experiment further and try different sounds, and it just felt really natural,” she told RS of the release, which is out Friday, July 26.

“I would go into the studio and just say the first thing that comes to mind. A lot of these beats are still drill beats, but we also use a lot of trap elements to spice it up a bit,” she noted.
