Ice Cube insists he didn’t inspire Kanye West’s recent anti-Semitic rant after the controversial rapper referred to him as a major influence in his controversial comments.

The 53-year-old rapper defended himself on Twitter shortly after Kanye claimed that Cube “really set me up for this” during an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast.

“You really influenced me to get into this anti-Semite vibe,” Kanye said during his interview about Ice Cube before adding, “I’m here to get the job done.”

But Cube had none of it and took to Twitter to remove himself from the controversy.

“I hate that my name got dragged into this Drunk Champs bullshit. I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’ll have to ask him,” he tweeted.

“I didn’t put the batteries in his back. Please leave my name out of all the anti-Semitic talk. I am not and never have been anti-Semitic,” he added.

Cube has previously been accused of posting anti-Semitic memes in the past.

In 2020, he vehemently denied that his Twitter account had been hacked after allegations that he posted anti-Semitic memes.

The NWA frontman took to Twitter to provide the clarification after fans called him out for spreading an “anti-Semitic trope.”

“What the hell are you doing?” demanded a user of the outspoken rapper.

“This is CUBE,” the Straight Outta Compton hitmaker began. “My account was not hacked.”

“I don’t speak for any organization. I speak only for the meek people of your earth. We don’t expect crumbs [sic] from your table.’

“We need the power of Almighty God who sustains us all over the earth. NO MORE TALKING. To have remorse.’

The statement appeared to be in response to many Twitter users pointing out that some of the many memes reposted by Cube — whose real name is O’Shea Jackson — discriminated against the Jewish faith in nature.

One particularly controversial image showed a group of men with exaggerated facial features typical of anti-Semitic images playing Monopoly, with the board resting on the backs of several black people.

Cube captioned the post, “F*** THE NEW NORMAL UNTIL THEY RESTORE THE OLD NORMAL!”

Twitter user Tara Dublin called out the Three Kings actor and replied, “Cube, this is an anti-Semitic trope. Please take it down as it suggests that Jews control everything. And trust me, we don’t. Because if Jews controlled everything, I’d be rich and Donald Trump would be in #DoBetter prison.

Another image Cube tweeted to his followers seemed to suggest that the “Black Cube of Saturn” is in the Star of David.

Saturn’s Black Cube is considered an occult symbol by conspiracy theorists.

He wrote: ‘I’m a little sleepy tonight, but when I wake up, I’m going to die on JEWISH PEOPLE.

“The funny thing is that I can’t actually be anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jewish too. You’ve been playing with me and trying to blackmail anyone who opposes your agenda.’
