The reboot of the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly has been officially canceled by Paramount+ after three seasons with the streamer.
With Miranda Cosgrove in the title role, the original program ran for no less than six seasons on Nickelodeon from 2007 to 2012.
Now a new report has arrived Variety has revealed that the revival, which started in 2021, has been axed after a run half as long as the first series.
Back in the days of Nickelodeon, iCarly revolved around a teenager who stars in a web series with her friends, one played by Jennette McCurdy.
Miranda reprized her role in the reboot, amid a cast of returning players including Nathan Kress as her cinematographer Freddie and Jerry Trainor as her brother Spencer.

Jennette did not return for the revival, but has instead broken into books with a searing memoir about the trials of child stardom and life with a stage mom.
The autobiography, titled I’m Glad My Mom Died, bowed in 2022 and became a smash hit, topping the New York Times nonfiction bestseller list.
Meanwhile, Miranda, Sam and Jerry starred in the iCarly reboot, which acquired some new cast members as well as old hands.
Child actress Jaidyn Triplett joined the ensemble as Freddie’s stepdaughter, as did Laci Mosley as one of the title character’s friends.
When it emerged this Wednesday that the revival had been scuttled, Paramount+ released a statement praising the program.
‘iCarly will not return for a fourth season on Paramount+. The series had three great seasons and delivered what fans really wanted to see when Carly and Freddie finally got together,” the statement said.
“We would like to thank the entire cast, writers, directors and producers along with the entire crew for their dedication, creativity and talent.”
On I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette revealed that Miranda tried to convince her to return to iCarly for the reboot, noting how high the paycheck would be.

“Miranda, I’m not going to restart. There’s nothing you can say to convince me,” Jennette told her, but Miranda persisted.
“She tells me she thinks the reboot could be a chance for all of us in the cast to ‘get back out there,’ and maybe get other opportunities out of it,” Jennette wrote.
Her counterargument to Miranda was that “there are things more important than money. And my mental health and happiness fall into that category.”
Jennette reflected in the book, “There is a moment of silence. It’s one of those rare moments where I feel like I haven’t said too much or too little. I feel like I represented myself accurately and I wouldn’t change anything about the way I said it. I feel proud. We wrap up our conversation, promise to keep in touch, and hang up.”
