Ian Ziering attacked by group on mini-bikes on Hollywood Boulevard after traffic altercation … as LAPD continue to probe violent incident

Ian Ziering was involved in a violent incident involving a group of mini bikers in Los Angeles on Sunday that was caught on camera.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 actor, 59, in a clip posted on TMZwas seen colliding with a mini bike rider before fending off attacks from several other riders in the group, who were wearing helmets during the exchange.

The incident involving Ziering, who played Steve Sanders on the Fox series from 1990 to 2000, took place on Hollywood Boulevard with the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop visible in the background.

At one point, the Sharknado actor was pictured crossing the street in an attempt to escape the onslaught of multiple assailants.

He was seen pushing off one of his attackers as he walked onto the sidewalk where the Hollywood Walk of Fame is located.

As dozens of onlookers gathered at the popular spot on New Year's Eve, no one appeared to intervene on Ziering's behalf in the incident.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was arrested in connection with the incident Sunday night, the outlet reported, noting that “an official report” lists the Newark, New Jersey-born actor “as a victim” in the incident.

Police said they are investigating the incident and communicating with the people involved.

Sources told the station that Ziering's “vehicle … was possibly struck” before the conflict was caught on camera during the incident.

Ziering was able to get back into his vehicle and leave the scene, sources told the outlet, while the group of mini bikers also abruptly left the scene after the violent incident.

Ziering, who has more than 620,000 Instagram followershad not yet addressed the incident on his social media account as of Sunday evening.

The incident marked the latest chapter in what has been a challenging year for cast members of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Shannen Doherty had to undergo a surgical procedure to remove a tumor from her head taken on January 16, 2023, and announced the news amid her long-running health battle in June. (Doherty was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and said in February 2020 that she had been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.)

Also in January, Doherty and ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko split, and she revealed they divorced in April amid “irreconcilable differences.”

Doherty said on her podcast earlier this month that she is looking forward to ending a “turbulent” year filled with “some huge health issues, some huge personal issues” and “a lot of heartbreak and anxiety.”

Ziering said People earlier this month that Doherty has “always been a fighter” and is “a truly incredible woman.”

He said of her health struggles: “It's not over yet. She has a long road ahead of her. She is so courageous and strong and serves as a role model for those facing similar adversity.”

Additionally, his co-star Tori Spelling has made headlines over the past twelve months with a series of financial problems, insecure living conditions, physical illnesses and her divorce from her estranged husband Dean McDermott.
