An engaged man who has never had sex with his fiancée is now opening up about the intense daily ‘honeymoon workouts’ he has been doing for two years to ensure he is in top shape for his wedding night.
Tech representative Jonathan Louis, 24, is a practicing Christian who believes that “your body is a temple and that in marriage a husband and wife give each other their bodies.”
Before meeting his now fiancée, content creator Naya Ford, 23, at church in 2022, Jonathan had been abstinent for three years — something his bride-to-be was eager to continue supporting.
Jonathan proposed to Naya in May 2023 and the couple plans to tie the knot in 2025, but will continue to abstain from sex until that day.
Knowing how special that moment will be for the two of them, Jonathan hits the gym every day and follows a rigorous lifestyle regimen to ensure he’s in the best shape of his life going into his wedding night.
An abstinent engaged couple hits the gym hard to prepare for their wedding night
New York-based couple Jonathan Louis, 24, and Naya Ford, 23, are abstaining until their planned wedding in 2025
The two prepare for their big honeymoon by hitting the gym consistently to build endurance and confidence in their bodies
He has been eating supplements said to help in the bedroom and increase libido, such as sea moss, horny goat weed, maca root and ashwagandha.
He’s also been doing exercises like hip thrusts and squats to hit all the right muscle groups so he knows he’ll be good on their wedding night.
As well as cardio, so he ‘doesn’t get out of breath’.
Although they haven’t set a date yet, they aim to get married in 2025, followed by a honeymoon in Southeast Asia or Greece.
Even though it’s still over a year away, Jonathan wants his first evening with Naya, a full-time influencer, to tick all the boxes.
“As Christians we believe that your body is a temple and that in marriage a man and woman give each other their bodies,” he explained.
“So I want to give her the best and make sure she likes what she sees.”
“I believe the first time will be an experience, with all the excitement of wedding planning and marriage.
“Our first night will be the icing on the cake!”
Jonathan trains four to five times a week to “build stamina and endurance” and “keeps his load (weights) 60 to 70 percent with high volume for the lower body”
His workouts at the gym include lunges to ‘increase blood flow to the pelvic area’ and ‘hamstring strength and flexibility’; and hip thrusts to ‘strengthen glutes, abs, hips and pelvic floor’
“I do it to respect her (Naya), but more importantly for Jesus, to whom I dedicated my abstinence before I met her,” Jonathan said
Naya added: “I also went to the gym to get ready, and Jonathan helped me.
‘For me it’s as much preparation for the wedding day as it is preparation for the honeymoon – I have to look good in my dress.
‘But I’m certainly looking forward to our first time together; this waiting isn’t fun.’
Jonathan and Naya have both had sex in the past, but abstained during the time they knew each other.
They became an item in October 2022 before Jonathan proposed in May this year.
He said waiting until marriage has not been easy, and not without moments of temptation.
He said: ‘When we go out for a night we decide to meet somewhere between the two of us so we aren’t tempted to sleep over because of a long journey home.
‘What also helps is an honest conversation. Admitting ‘I’m horny and you’re horny’ can ease the tension.”
Jonathan goes to the gym up to four times a week to prepare for their first time.
He also does personal training work with Naya – to make sure they’re both ready.
He said: ‘The goal is to be in my best shape – I want to be good for her so she can enjoy my body.
“Some of the highlights of abstaining while we’re together are getting the chance to get to know each other without being blinded by a sex high,” Naya said
He argued that “it’s not just for the bedroom.” Jonathan wants to be the ‘best person’ he can be for her ‘physically, mentally and emotionally’
Jonathan believes that “abstinence is not meant to be perfection. It’s meant to be a target you shoot at’
‘It’s not just for the bedroom – I want to be the best person I can be for her physically, mentally and emotionally.
“But our private time together is what all the preparation is for.”
Jonathan eats supplements said to help in the bedroom and increase libido – such as sea moss, horny goat weed, maca root and ashwagandha.
He’s also been doing exercises like hip thrusts and squats to hit all the right muscle groups so he knows he’ll be good on their wedding night.
He said, ‘I’m doing all this cardio and also all these HIIT workouts and burpees – I don’t want to get out of breath!’
But he said the thing he’s looking forward to most is “spending endless time with her.”
Jonathan said: ‘Without physical intimacy it can be challenging.
“I can’t wait to wake up and go to sleep together.”
