I won the lottery TWICE after my husband left me for my best friend, and he was the first person to call after I hit the jackpot

A woman whose husband left her for her best friend had the last laugh a year later when she won two lottery jackpots.

The unidentified woman from Barranquilla, Colombia, was left with a large mortgage on her home after her husband’s betrayal when he moved out.

The mother, who works as a seamstress, had spent all her savings trying to keep up with her property payments and had begun to default on loans.

But, just days before the property was to be repossessed, her luck changed when she decided to buy a pair of lottery tickets a year to the day her husband left, and she had a winner.

A woman from Barranquilla, Colombia revealed that she won a total of approximately £268,000 after winning two jackpots.

The mother claimed that, before buying the ticket, she was also facing the burden of paying her daughter’s tuition, for which she could not find the money.

Sun reports that the mother’s financial problems meant that her student daughter was unable to enroll in an accounting course this term at her private university.

However, on January 17, he bought two tickets from different lottery draws that turned out to be winners.

After taking the jackpot, the mother pocketed a total of £268,000 and was left ‘trembling’ when she realized her big prize.

The staggering sum means the woman is now one of Colombia’s biggest lottery winners.

It is also reportedly the largest sum ever claimed in The Double Chance Millionaire game in which he participated.

Speaking about her win, the woman revealed that the first call she received when she won the jackpot was from her ex.

However, despite her skepticism that he may be snooping around for a piece of her winnings, she claimed that he only called “to congratulate her”.

The anonymous woman’s happy ending comes after a UK lottery winner revealed that winning her jackpot was something she “wouldn’t wish on anyone.”

Jane Park, 27, was just 17 when she won £1 million in the EuroMillions prize after buying her first lottery ticket.

However, as she reflected on her status as an instant millionaire and the attention she received, Jane said she was too young.

Appearing on Curse of the Lottery in the US, Jane told Dr. Phil: I spent a little because I never knew the value of a million pounds, I’ve never seen that kind of money.

“I’ve never met anyone with that kind of money, so I splurged on things I always wanted.”

But Dr. Phil noted that his riches came at a price, noting, “You had stalkers, death threats, people hiding in the bushes and commenting on everything you were doing, which when you’re 17 that bothers you.”
