‘I will very, very, very probably do it again’: Trump teases 2024 run at Iowa
>
Former President Donald Trump came close to announcing a 2024 White House bid at a Thursday night rally in Iowa — which will host the country’s first presidential contest — and on the anniversary of his 2020 election loss.
“And now, to make our country successful, safe and glorious, I will very, very, very likely do it again,” he said. ‘OKAY? Very, very, very likely. Very, very, very likely.’
He told the excited Sioux City crowd to “be ready!” “That’s all I’ll tell you shortly,” he added.
Trump also entertained his audience by sharing a blunder with President Joe Biden with supporters, showing footage of the Democrat tripping on the steps of Air Force One, and other awkward moments.
Once the reality TV star, Trump played dramatic and sinister music during the latter part of his speech, using a melody associated with the QAnon movement.
Trump urged Iowa Republicans Senator Chuck Grassley and Gov. Kim Reynolds – who does not face stiff competition from Democrats – with just five days before the midterm elections.
He encouraged his supporters: “If you want safety for your family and safety for your community, remove every Democrat from office and vote for Republicans everywhere.”
But most of the meeting was devoted to how injustice had been done to him.
“Your favorite president, excuse me for all those young people, your favorite president is screwed,” he told the audience, hovering that the 2020 election should have been declared void.

Trump still boasted — falsely — that he was the winner of that election.
“I did much better the second time than the first time. In 2020 we will get millions more votes than in 2016 and also more votes than any sitting president in our country’s history to date,” Trump said.
He also mentioned the many investigations that surround him.
Biden and his left-wing handlers are turning America into a police state, like something straight out of a communist country. The radical Democrats are locking up pro-life activists and persecuting their political opponents — no one can believe this is happening,” Trump said. “They even raided Mar-a-Lago. They raided Mar-a-Lago.”
“Tell you what I’d like to do,” he added.
Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s home and private club in Florida, was searched by the FBI in August on suspicion that the ex-president had withheld classified documents after his White House tenure.
Hundreds of classified documents were found in the raid.
Later in the rally, he returned to the heist, adding: ‘It’s a nice house, you must say.’
Trump also pointed to a decision made just hours earlier by a New York judge — who appointed an independent observer to oversee the Trump organization’s financial transactions, as part of the attorney’s pending civil suit — General Letitia James of New York against the ex-president’s company.
And just now, a radical-left insane judge in New York City, who is completely controlled by my worst enemies in the Democratic Party — and by the New York Attorney General, there’s another beauty — who has his position by them. at the request of the out-of-control Attorney General who is raging New York’s violent crime across the state, including murders, robberies, rapes, and drugs at an unprecedented level — initiated a process of confiscation of property akin to Venezuela, Cuba or the old Soviet Union,” Trump said.
“It’s communism, what’s going on in our country,” he said. “They’re arming the Department of Justice. They arm things that shouldn’t be used as weapons.’
The ex-president also pointed to the Georgia investigation into Trump and his allies making false claims of voter fraud.
“A local leftist DA in Atlanta is after me for an absolutely perfect call,” Trump said. “I would say even better than better than the Ukrainian appeal to the president.”
Trump described the call in question, asking Georgian Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” the number of votes he would need to win the state, as a question of “election integrity.”
“No, it was a perfect call – even better than my first perfect call. To remind? They dropped me off on a perfect call,” Trump said.
He spoke of the great progress made under his leadership.
“You honestly had no problem with anything,” he told the crowd.
“And then unfortunately we had a roadblock with this character, these people who are there now,” he also said. ‘It is a shame.’
He slammed Democrats for “indoctrinating our kids with race twisted and gender madness in our schools.”
But he suggested that Republicans would succeed in retaking the House.
“And we’re going to put an end to crazy Nancy Pelosi’s political career once and for all,” he said, using the nickname he gave her years ago, despite the recent hammer attack on her husband, Paul.
He also told Grassley, who made comments before and during Trump’s appearance, that he would be easily re-elected.
“I don’t think he will have a problem,” Trump said. “But now I know after tonight,” he said, staring into his crowd.

Of Biden, Trump said, “You could take the five worst presidents in American history and put them together and they wouldn’t have done the damage Joe Biden did to our country in just two years.”
He then asked the audience if they wanted to see “a little movie on a nice expensive monitor,” and drew the audience’s attention to the Jumbotron screens.
The blunder reel showed some slip of the tongue from Biden.
Then Trump spoke in a serious tone.
“It’s not really something that’s funny because our world is in a very dangerous place with nuclear weapons,” the former president warned.
Trump insisted that the US under Biden’s leadership could end up in World War III.
“We could end up in World War III and World War III will blow everything away because World War III has nuclear weapons like no one has ever seen,” he told the crowd.
He pointed to both Russia and North Korea as threats, noting that the latter “we got on very well” as he met North Korean leader Kim Jong-un three times during his presidency, but failed to to conclude a denuclearization agreement.
As for the Russian attack on Ukraine, Trump called it a “terrible thing” but suggested the US border crisis was worse.
More Americans Will Die From Fentanyl This Year and drug overdose than the number of Ukrainians killed in the horrific and bloody war — that would never have happened, by the way,” Trump said.
