I watched the ex-husband of my granddaughter’s bodybuilder execute her with a shot to the head in front of their daughter as he livestreamed it on Instagram. I will never forget their last words

A grandmother who witnessed her granddaughter’s murder live on Instagram says she will never forget her last words.

Nermin Sulejmanovic, 35, shot his ex-wife Nizama Hećimović, 38, in the forehead on August 11, 2023, broadcasting her execution to around 12,000 viewers on Instagram.

In the background of the video, the distressed cries of the couple’s daughter, who survived the incident without any injuries, could be heard.

While on the run from police, Sulejmanovic revealed in another Instagram clip that he killed two more people before finally turning the gun on himself.

The victim’s grandmother, Nusret, who witnessed her granddaughter’s last moments, says the memory will haunt her “as long as (she) lives.”

Nusret softened the traumatic event, saying, “That day I saw the whole family frantically watching a video.”

Although the family initially prevented the grandmother from catching a glimpse of the disturbing video, she eventually saw what happened.

“I said ‘show me’ and saw something that I will remember as long as I live,” Nusret told local media.

‘My Nizama was sitting on the sofa with her jaw hanging and that monster asked her: ‘Why did you report me?’

Nusret repeated her grandchild’s last words, saying, “She briefly told him she had to, and then he shot her in the head.”

The grieving matriarch revealed that she had seen Nizama just days before her murder, noting that her grandchild was unwell and looked emaciated and scared.

“Four or five days before she was going to be killed, she came to us with her daughter,” Nusret explained.

‘She was completely scared. I asked her why you are so skinny, and she told me she doesn’t sleep because of the child.’

With her daughter in her arms, Nizama left her grandmother’s house and anxiously repeated that they had to leave.

‘She kissed me twice and left. “I had no idea this would be our last meeting,” she said.

‘If I had known how she lived, I would have protected her, but until the last day I knew nothing. Everything was late.

‘Now, six months after everything happened, everyone is quiet. Nobody says anything.’

According to Nusret, Nizama’s sister now has sole custody of her child.

The young child, who witnessed her mother’s death, will inherit her mother’s pension as well as the money made from Nizama’s car.

According to local media, Sulejmanovic worked as a fitness coach, but was also a gang member and had several convictions for violent crimes, brawling and his involvement in drug trafficking.

As police began searching for him in the aftermath of the broadcast killing, the suspect later posted another video on Instagram, claiming to have shot at least two other people while fleeing.
