I was ashamed of what I wear and “spending too much time on myself” – because I’m a mom

An aspiring bodybuilder who has been told she can’t dress in gym clothes because she’s a mother has hit back at the negative comments.

Ashley Prichard, owner of the fitness coaching company Strong Girl Stuff, shared further Instagram that she had received backlash for the way she dresses around her children.

Her sporty outfits often consist of cycling shorts, crop tops and sports bras – and Ms Prichard said she’s been told, ‘You’re a mother, you shouldn’t dress like that.’

The mother, who is training to become a professional bodybuilder, also said she was criticized for being too confident – some said it intimidated them.

She also noted that she’s heard people claim she “spends too much time on herself.”

However, these negative reports do not seem to have bothered Ms. Pritchard.

She took to Instagram and posted a reel of the comments while she was working out.

She said, “People have too many opinions that don’t matter.
