A California couple have revealed they plan to name their baby after their favorite car, despite being criticized by online trolls.
Cassie and Elden Hapa, who have been in a relationship for thirteen years, have a shared interest in Chevrolets – most of their relatives own one and Elden’s father is a mechanic.
The couple recently surprised their YouTube subscribers with a baby name to explain that if they have a boy, he’ll be named Chevy Rush, or, if she turns out to be a girl, their favorite choice will be Chevrolet Ray – nicknamed Chevy.

The couple revealed the baby’s name in their YouTube video by turning off the lights in their home and turning them back on to illuminate the Chevy name.
On Sept. 1, Cassie posted the couple’s stylish maternity shoot, in which she wore a tight white dress and pumps with a striking hair scarf and sunglasses.
Despite the pair exploding with giddiness, trolls have taken to social media to ridicule the planned name, with one plea: “Please don’t give your baby a Chevy.”
Another person wrote in disbelief, “Is the baby’s name Chevy? LOL.’
A third commenter added, “Is Chevy the baby’s name” alongside a confused face emoji. One user simply wrote: “The name” with two sad smileys.
Other commenters agreed with the unique baby name and encouraged the couple.
