A man has left the internet stunned after revealing just how much dust can build up in your mattress.

US-based David Chen regularly shares movie reviews on TikTok, where he has more than 62,000 followers.

But recently he left viewers shocked after sharing the overwhelming amount of dirt on his bed.

“I saw this TikTok where this woman said that you should wash your bedding once a week and also vacuum the mattress itself,” he said at the beginning of the clip.

'I've got my Dyson here, you can see it's empty. I'm going to vacuum my bed so you can see how much dust gets into the Dyson vacuum,” David added.

He then carefully slid the portable device over his mattress.

At the end of the video, the content creator showed the shocking amount of dust and dirt that filled the vacuum.

He explained that the last time he cleaned his mattress was two weeks ago.
