I use this little-known buy on my dirty shower glass and it works like magic: ‘Best cleaning hack ever’
A mum has shared her ultimate secret to a sparkling shower screen – and the little-known purchase will have your glass sparkling in ten minutes.
Kristy from Perth had tried everything on her stubborn shower doors, but couldn’t get rid of the thick limescale deposits.
Her shower doors were terribly marred with water stains and calcium when she decided to try a brand new purchase: the Clean Screens Calcium Dissolver ($32.95).
Although she was almost hesitant due to the high price, the product worked wonders for her bathroom and required no scrubbing.
‘Literally wiped with a microfiber cloth, left for ten minutes and washed off. It was magical,” she said in a post.

Kristy was also pleased that the cleaning purchase did not have an ‘overpowering’ scent like many others on the market.
People who live in areas with hard water often suffer from limescale, but the mother’s cleaning secret will surely put an end to their problems.
Thousands have previously scrubbed on their hands and knees for hours, only to find their shower screens cloudy again the following week.
Kristy also used the purchase for her bathroom tiles.
“It worked wonders,” she reviewed. “It’s expensive, but you don’t need much (to get the job done).”
Many thanked her for the tip.
“Looks fantastic,” said one. “Maybe I should try this, our region is terrible for calcium accumulation.”
‘Thank you! I just brought some. I am constantly scrubbing my glass and gray tiles twice a week,” another woman said.

Does citric acid work to clean shower screens?
For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, mum Cara, from Queensland, uses a mixture of paper towels, citric acid and hot water to remove limescale build-up on the glass surfaces in her home.
Because citric acid is a mild organic acid, it is extremely effective at cleaning mineral deposits in bathrooms, toilets and kitchens.
The mother dissolved 1/4 cup of citric acid in 3/4 cup of boiling water in a rectangular container.
She then placed paper towels in the mixture and stuck them to the glass for half a minute before gently rubbing the dirt off.

Citric acid can also be used for descaling and removing hard water stains in kettles and coffee machines.
‘Calcium builds magic!’ wrote the mother on a popular Facebook group.
“I used citric acid, it just eats through the buildup.”
She added, “And it’s not harmful to the environment or to yourself. A total game changer!’
The mother also revealed that the ease with which she cleaned the glass made her excited to take a shower.
