I use one wild rule when a guy wants to split the bill on a date, but not everyone is happy about it
A woman has revealed the ‘sneaky’ response she uses when men ask to split the bill on dates – but not everyone is impressed with her ‘foolproof’ idea.
Pearlfrom Los Angeles, believes strongly in ‘feminine energy’ and prefers when men feel comfortable in their role as breadwinners.
Dating gurus have previously sparked heated debates over who should pay on the first date, with many women admitting they ‘lost attraction’ when asked to split the bill.
The American singer said she uses one line every time a first date goes wrong – and it has never let her down before.
“If a guy wants to go out with you on a date 50/50, say, ‘Oh my god, I’m so embarrassed right now. Wait, you just wanted to be friends? I’m so confused – I thought this was a date the whole time. I am so sorry. Here’s my card.’

Pearl said it was essential for men to know that if she shared the bill, she was not satisfied with a relationship.
She prefers to use her fierce line and set a standard for a first date where there is nothing to lose.
Many men and women agreed with Pearl, stating that it was best to make your expectations clear in the beginning.
“The next step is for (Pearl) to pay her half and never see him again,” one person explained. “She’s not looking for a 50/50 relationship and that’s fine. She sends a message loud and clear.’
One woman asked: ‘I don’t understand why men can’t pay the whole bill? Why would you ask a woman out if you’re not going to pay? Who raised you?’
But others claimed she was ’emotionally manipulative’.
“Feminism suddenly leaves their bodies when it comes to money,” one man said.
‘Yes No. If a girl ever did this to me, I would split the bill and never see her again. I don’t want all that toxic stuff in a relationship,” another added.
“Too many entitled women these days think that just because you paid for their meal on the first date, you are obligated to pay for their bills and groceries for the rest of their lives,” a third wrote.
But some insisted there was a middle ground between the two options.
“I’m all about equality and I pay for my stuff, but it’s just a nice gesture that the person asking the other person out pays for the date,” one woman said.
“I would never make a woman pay, but a woman who offers to pay is great and gets paid for her meal,” one man wrote.
