I toured the new Big Brother house with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best and got set a secret task before failing and being evicted – this is what the housemates can REALLY expect
Big Brother returns to Channel 5 on Sunday and I was lucky enough to be invited for a tour of the house before the real guests arrived to compete for the top prize.
I entered through the diary room and was even shown the brand new chair, which is being kept top secret until Saturday.
When you sit there you are confronted with a blinding light and a camera and it is actually very intimidating.
The voice of Big Brother soon gave me a secret mission and I was instructed to say something in the voice of iconic narrator Marcus Bentley every time I entered a room.
This was hysterical and sounded so fun, but I absolutely failed after I got so overwhelmed running around and quickly forgot about it.

The Big Brother house is actually in a giant warehouse studio with tons of cameras and lights, but the contestants will never see it or know how busy it gets with things happening all the time.
As I entered the living room, I bumped into and took a selfie with presenters AJ Odudu, 36, and Will Best, 39, who were also looking around ahead of Sunday’s launch.
It was like entering a neon rainbow or a carnival, especially the hallway to the diary room with blindingly bright lights and lots of clashing colors. I wouldn’t be surprised if the splattered paint theme gave some housemates a headache.
I noticed that the open plan kitchen and living room was smaller than it appears on screen and it was surreal to be there where so many iconic scenes took place.
The bedroom was probably the best room, I loved the pink theme and it was a little quieter than the rest of the house.
There were very comfortable beds, but one was a bit nicer and had a raised platform that could come into play later in the series.
There was a lot of random decor and much bigger than I expected with very high ceilings and mirrors on almost every wall.
I noticed a strange statue of a cat high up on one of the walls and thought it might mean something or wondered if it was a secret camera.

The garden is just as spacious and you can see the buildings next to it, the only place in the house where you can catch a glimpse of the outside world.
I also noticed that the seating area was not large enough for all the housemates, which created cliques.
But before I knew it and after failing to complete my secret task, I was evicted by Big Brother over the loudspeaker.
It comes next both AJ and Will suffered from ailments prior to the launch night prepare to welcome a new group of housemates for the third time.
However, appearing on Capital Breakfast on Thursday, Will revealed that both he and AJ are suffering from individual illnesses which could pose problems for the live launch show.
He explained that he had been affected by a ‘stiff neck’, meaning he has difficulty moving his head, and had been forced to visit an emergency physiotherapist.
Speaking to presenters Jordan North, Chris Stark and Sian Welby, Will explained: ‘Yes, I have a stiff neck. Today I’m a little better, yesterday was bad, I have an emergency physio in a few hours.’

Joking about the awkward timing, he added: “It’s always good not to be able to move right before the biggest show of the year, when you go live for six weeks, with all kinds of crazy stuff.
“So I’m sorry Chris, I can’t really look at you [laughs]you’re on the wrong side!’
Sian then joked: ‘That’s why we bought you a swivel chair, so you can move your whole body,’ prompting Will to joke back: ‘I can just present the live show on one of these!’
However, he added that he couldn’t even lean on his co-host for support as AJ has “lost her voice.”
Will said: ‘AJ has lost her voice too, yeah sorry, I saw her yesterday, we recorded a podcast. That’s why she’s not doing radio today!’
He admitted he was ‘nervous’ about the live launch, but insisted it was down to his love for the show and his desire to ensure everything went smoothly.
He explained, “Yes, of course I get nervous because I love this show so much, so I’m nervous that we’re going to do it justice, the format justice, I’m nervous how the housemates are going to do it.
‘But once we get to Sunday, just before we go live, the nerves more or less disappear. I can’t wait to meet these people.’
