I toured a brothel with my mother-in-law – and ended up working there as a madam

A ‘clueless’ woman went on a tour of a legal brothel with her mother-in-law – and ended up as a madam in the establishment.

Dena Duff, 53, accompanied her “terrified” mother-in-law, who was in her late 60s, on a tour of Sheri’s Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada.

The brothel hosted a special ladies’ luncheon for women over 50 at a restaurant next to the X-rated ranch.

Dena says she didn’t know what a brothel was before she crossed the threshold.

‘My mother-in-law is part of an organization where retired women come together and do fun things. When they get together, they are wild,” she explained.

‘They make me blush, and that takes a lot out of my job.

“One of the things they came up with was a tour of Sheri’s Ranch.

“My mother-in-law was terrified, she didn’t want to go alone and asked me to go with her,” she continued.

“I had no idea, before that I didn’t even know what a brothel was.”

While exploring the licensed brothel, the incumbent pulled Dena aside and offered her a job on the spot.

The blushing Dena mistook it as an offer to become one of the courtesans and initially declined before being told it was only a staff role.

After thinking about it for a while, Dena, who was tired of being a full-time stay-at-home mom, decided to take her up on the offer.

She initially started as a part-time hostess in April 2006 and worked her way up to shift manager before taking over from Ms Dena in July 2007.

“I’m very proud of them because it’s not just laying there and fucking, it’s the experience,” Dena said of the women

Dena has worked in political exit polls and had a stint in accounting, along with raising her children, and claims her breadth of experience helps her be the best Mrs. she can be.

“I used to work as a ‘grunt’ at political exit polls and I also worked in accounting for a long time,” she explains.

“When you put all that together, on top of arguing with a bunch of kids, I’ve transferred those skills to my role as a madam, which has been very rewarding.”

Dena helps the courtesans of Sheri’s Ranch set goals, with many using the money to change their lives for the better.

“Some women want to make a down payment on a house, pay for college or save to start their own business,” she explained.

“Sex work offers these women the opportunity to realize those ambitions,” Dena continued.

“I’m very proud of them because it’s not just laying around and banging, it’s the experience.”
