I started having contractions at a Taylor Swift gig but I was having so much fun I danced through the pain

A Taylor Swift mega-fan who attended the star’s show nine months pregnant gave birth during her concert but decided to stay until the end of the performance.

Jenn Gutierrez, 31, was 38 weeks pregnant when she flew a whopping 400 miles from Canberra, Australia, to Melbourne to see her favorite artist perform.

Jenn, her husband Michael Sin, 31, and twin sister Dani – who all paid $600 AUD (£311) for VIP tickets – said they would stop at nothing to experience the megastar’s Eras. tour.

But barely an hour into the concert and while dancing a jig, Jenn started having contractions.

In a video of the crazy moment, Jenn can be seen taking a deep breath before finally continuing with her two-step move.

Jenn, an executive assistant, described the moment as “euphoric.” She said: ‘I thought, ‘I’m not going anywhere. If this baby comes, she’s coming out now.

‘The contractions were getting worse. In the Midnights set [the last of the evening] I thought, “OMG, I’m going to have this baby now.”

‘I was so shocked. I was a little withdrawn. My twin sister stood next to me and kept an eye on me. My husband monitored my heart rate on my Apple Watch.

“It was a euphoric experience.”

Jenn and Dani have always been big Taylor Swift fans and couldn’t believe it when they bagged VIP tickets on the third day of ticket release in November 2024.

Despite being nine months pregnant, Jenn was allowed to fly six days before the show, but she prepared for the eight-hour drive if she wasn’t.

Jenn, Michael and Dani flew out the morning of the show and got glam cowboy boots and glitter for the big event.

But an hour into the concert and just as Taylor Swift started performing songs from her Reputation album, Jenn felt sudden contractions.

The contractions continued for the rest of the performance, but Jenn somehow managed to keep dancing and singing through it.

Looking back, Jenn admits she “came close.”

“We were doing the math and at first we didn’t think I would be pregnant like that,” she remembers.

‘Then we realized we were close [but] we were adamant about going.

‘We definitely wouldn’t miss the show. I hope the girls behind me didn’t think I wasn’t a real Swiftie because I just stayed put.”

Things went from bad to worse as by the end of the show Jenn was having trouble standing and walking.

“I felt the baby on the way out because she was so low,” she said.

‘Imagine standing for three hours with a bowling ball between your legs. I staggered out of the stadium.”

Jenn took an Uber back to her hotel, where she managed to ease her contractions after she calmed down.

She cited sitting with her “legs up on the bed” as the most important tactic for delaying the impending birth.

Despite the tragedy, the group was able to fly back home the next morning.

A few days later, in February 2024, Jenn gave birth to a “happy” and “healthy” 7-pound baby girl.

She joked, “I said, ‘You can come as soon as we land.’

For the new mom, it can only be right that she raises her daughter to be a fellow Swiftie — starting with the very first song she played to her newborn.

Jenn added, “The first song she listened to was Fearless by Taylor Swift. She’s an embedded Swiftie.
