A woman who sold her house to afford a £10,000 facelift has revealed she now lives in a van, but is convinced she looks better than she ever did when she was 30.
Kelly Beasley, 50, of Marana, Arizona, got Botox injections in her late 20s and has also had fillers for the past 15 years.
However, the blogger decided to undergo a more drastic cosmetic procedure when she noticed her face was “sloping down quickly” two years ago.
As such, Kelly had set her sights on a comprehensive facelift, neck lift, lip lift, and fat transfer of her thighs.
However, she was shocked when US-based plastic surgeons started quoting her $50-60,000 (£38,000-46,600).

Kelly (pictured after cosmetic work) was shocked when US plastic surgeons paid her over £38,000
She explained, “I like to look nice. Around the age of 48, my face started to fall rapidly.
“The changes were amazing and fillers wouldn’t make a difference.”
After her first round of research, Kelly saw another woman on social media raving about a cosmetic clinic in Mexico.
She continued, “I saw a lady on TikTok talking about plastic surgery. I was amazed at her results.
“She had it in Tijuana, Mexico. I wasn’t sure, but I didn’t turn it down completely.
“She said she had it for $14,000 (£10,800) – I was blown away.”
Kelly found a Facebook group for EOC plastics — which hosted the surgeries in Tijuana, Mexico — and began looking at other women’s experiences.
She then emailed the clinic photos of herself and asked to be put on their cancellation list after being paid £10,800 for the procedures.

At the time, Kelly had already put her three-bedroom home up for sale in Arizona as a “cushion” to pay for her surgery.
Even though the clinic opened at the last minute in January, Kelly decided to give it a little more thought—before taking her next chance the following month.
She added, “It was on February 14 — Happy Valentine’s to me.”
The four-hour surgery involved removing fat from Kelly’s thighs and applying it to her lips and face.
She continued, “I woke up with my head wrapped in a giant crazy bandage. I immediately started taking pictures.
“There was zero pain. The only pain I’ve ever had was discomfort. I wore a facial bra for two weeks.”
After surgery, Kelly was transferred to a nearby hotel before being driven back to the US in a van.
She said, “It was like six days of vacation. It was just easy.’
Five months later, Kelly says she feels “phenomenal” and is happy with the “natural” result.
Since the procedure, Kelly now travels full-time in a van and is currently in Lake Tahoe, California.
That said, she did admit that it took time to adjust to her much more youthful appearance.
She added: “After about a week and a half I had a little ‘oh shit’ moment.

Your brain has trouble adjusting to your face. From mirror to mirror I would look different.
‘Now I’m totally in love with it. I’m having fun putting on makeup again.
“I used to not like putting on make-up. My eyes were heavy and applying eyeliner wouldn’t look good.’
Plus, Kelly says she thinks she looks better now than she did when she was 30.
She continued, “Plastic surgery is being shamed. If we do too much, we are vain or insecure.
“If you do nothing, wear makeup or do your hair, they say ‘you let yourself go.’
‘It is tiring. I’m going to do what I want to do. Why not live the most wonderful life? For me, part of that is plastic surgery.’
