“Position: You see your ex on Tinder with a picture you took of him, but he’s photoshopped all by himself,” she said in the video.
She captioned the clip: “The poor girls who will be gutted when they see the real thing.”
In the edited photo, Dan gave himself a chiseled jawline, some facial hair and different colored eyes, and changed the lighting.
And while Beth thought the clip would make some of her best friends chuckle, she never expected it to go viral.
Speaking to the Daily Dot, she said, “I’m still pretty shocked that so many people are interested. I think Dan (my ex) is a very handsome man with and without the montage and there is no hatred towards my ex boyfriend.
“I think what shocked people the most was how well he edited and how different he looked.”
Viewers were amazed at the difference in photos, many joking that they wanted him to retouch their photos as well.
One person said, “I can’t lie, that’s good editing.”

And while many social media users were surprised, edited photos on dating apps aren’t that rare.
A survey found that a quarter of singles admitted to Photoshopping their images before posting them on dating apps in hopes of finding love.
This has become so common that Generation Z has even coined its own term, calling the practice of photo editing or sharing old photos “kitten fishing.”
And according Garbokitten or catfishing is much more common than it seems.
About 23 percent of women and 38 percent of men have catfished someone. Dating apps appear to be the most likely place for catfishing, accounting for nearly 40 percent of catfishing cases.
