I paid $14 to see Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour – but the tickets came with a catch
A Taylor Swift fan who has followed the singer around the world on the Eras Tour has stunned fans after revealing where she sat during the final dates of the concert in Vancouver.
Swiftie Molly, from Georgia, USA, took to her TikTok account @1989vinyl to talk about what her obstructed view on the tour looked like after paying $14 USD for her seats – but some people said she was ‘insane’ for even thinking about the tickets.
In the clip, which racked up more than two million views, Molly showed off her view from behind the stage and claimed she couldn’t see Taylor Swift’s performance in real life. However, she claimed that the seats were still ‘clapping’ because the stadium, BC Place, put up screens to watch the performance.
She captioned the video: “I wish they sold these seats for the entire Eras Tour because they are quiet!!! I think this part is going to be so much fun!!! Party section.’
She explained: ‘I’m at the Eras Tour, I have a completely blocked seat tonight. They were $13.98. I have to laugh that they check tickets because who sneaks into this section. We have a very partial view of the stage.
‘They added screens here and you can quietly see the stage there. We’re also going to go behind the scenes, like when she comes out in the Enchanted dress, she comes in here.
Zooming in on a part of the stage visible from the seats, she added, “If she sings Anti-Hero, she’ll be there.”
Taylor Swift fan Molly was branded ‘mental’ for paying $14 for ‘obstructed seats’ while unable to see Eras tour stage in Vancouver
Molly revealed that she was sitting in seat 226 and explained that further up, around seat 222, you get a better view of the stage.
Although Molly was incredibly happy with her seats, many were confused as to why people would buy a ticket that didn’t offer a view of the stage.
One person said: ‘Are you okay? like mental’ Another said: ‘Hey, so this is insane.’
Someone else agreed, saying, “That’s insane that anyone would sell tickets like that.”
A fourth added: ‘Why would they even sell behind the stage seats makes no sense.’
However, others saw the benefit of the discounted seats, with some saying they were ‘jealous’ of her backstage view.
One person said: ‘Just being in the atmosphere is worth it!!!’
Another added: ‘This is a really cool vantage point to change it up! have the best time!’
Someone else said: ‘Molly, I’m jealous in the best way. I wish I were you.’
In the clip, which has been viewed more than two million times, Molly weighed in, saying she couldn’t see the stage but the seats were still ‘clunking’ because they had put up screens to watch the performance.

In another TikTok clip, the Swiftie spotted Taylor’s parents Andrea and Scott Swift backstage, who even waved to the superfan.
Elsewhere, Molly showed Taylor arriving on stage in a cleaning cart, followed by a documentary camera crew.
Molly captioned the video: “They are filming an era tour documentary! This is so cool and insane!!! That’s how we saw the cleaning cart so close and Taylor walked up after he got out.”
The cameras followed the singer around the stage as she performed different eras and belted out some of her most popular hits.
Other eagle-eyed fans on social media noticed that the camera track next to the stage was longer than usual, allowing for more angles to be captured.
Devoted Swifties were immediately convinced that the Lover singer was filming a second tour film or documentary, as the camera crew filmed in the same manner as for the original Eras Tour film.
Swift secretly filmed the concert film during her series of shows in Los Angeles in August 2023 – the film was released two months later on October 13.
Taylor fans are abuzz with speculation that the singer is filming a second Eras Tour movie; seen on December 6
The film holds the record as the highest-grossing concert film of all time, grossing over $261 million worldwide.
Taylor Swift and her team have yet to confirm if another film project is in the works. Nevertheless, fans are almost certain that the blonde beauty – who is known for her Easter eggs and surprises – has a secret sequel in store.
Fans are justifying their claims with rumors that Swift could be filming again to include the newly added songs to the setlist of her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was released in April.

One fan wrote under the post, which features a crew with Swift on stage: “I hope she releases the eras movie part two. I like to spend my money on that.’
Last October, the singer was criticized for pricing each cinema ticket for the Eras tour film at $19.89 – her year of birth.
“Eras tour pt2 coming soon everyone moving,” wrote another.
A user named @readyforitom said, “the eras tour ttpd version coming to theaters YEPPP.”
Referring to Swift’s frequent album releases, one wrote: “eras tour (extended version) (includes ttpd) LFGGGGGGG.”
“Please let it be era’s tour 2 or documentary,” another begged. “It’s another documentary,” someone added.

Swift will wrap up the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada on December 8
“This moment is about to become iconic, stay tuned,” wrote @virtualdiaryy_.
The Eras Tour kicked off last March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, and raised more than $1.04 billion, making it the highest-grossing tour in history, according to AP.
Swift concluded the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada on December 8.
During her stops on the Eras Tour, the August singer played four surprise songs – which changed with each show – on piano and acoustic guitar.
And she played almost every record in her discography of more than 300 songs that she has performed during her twenty-year career as a recording artist.
Last week, the London-based So Long singer revealed how she managed to fit into her newly released Eras Tour Book in The Tortured Poets Department’s set ‘halfway through’ her Eras Tour.
The 34-year-old megastar was candid about deploying dazzling new ensembles and daring choreography for the remaining 70+ stops on her concert tour at the time.
“We conceived and rehearsed it in secret, and surprised the Parisian audience with it when we started our European leg of the tour,” she wrote in the 256-page picture book.
The Blank Space hitmaker also said she wanted to keep a “minimalist, white, clean and bold” theme for the TTPD set, a stark contrast to the rest of her colorful set.
“There was nothing else on the show like it, and it was such an exciting challenge to try to improve on a show I already loved,” she added.
The Eras Tour Book was released last week exclusively at Target for $39.99.
Describing the set’s visuals and props, she said she wanted to “create the illusion of an alien abduction, a battle scene, a religious institution, a mental institution, a haunted house and a showgirl’s dressing room routine.”
The 14-time GRAMMY winner nailed the feat, claiming the addition was “damn ambitious” but calling it “the most dramatic, cathartic, female-driven part of the evening.”
She previously revealed that the book will include never-before-seen photos from more than 100 shows, as well as the chance for fans to own The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on vinyl and CD.
The 1 singer also described the hot item as the ‘official look back at the most beautiful tour of her life.’
She also sparked rumors of a possible twelfth album and a new tour with the last line in the Eras Tour Book: ‘See you next era.’
