I made a Taylor Swift-inspired cake for my niece’s birthday – but critics claim she will ‘need therapy’ after seeing it

A man who made a Taylor Swift-inspired birthday cake for his niece has been criticized online for the ‘terrifying’ creation – as social media users joked, she will ‘need therapy’ after seeing it.

British resident Keith Scovell recently left the internet after uploading photos to Facebook of the rather interesting dessert he made for his niece’s 18th birthday.

He baked a cake that was supposed to look like pop sensation Taylor, 34, but many people on the internet felt it looked nothing like her.

Some viewers even joked that the cake looked more out of a horror movie, labeling it “scary” and “nightmare-inducing.”

Keith – who has a Facebook account dedicated to his creations called Kakes by Keith – shared a series of photos of the cake with the group Rate My Plate earlier this week.

British resident Keith Scovell recently left the internet in shambles after uploading some images to Facebook of a rather interesting dessert he made for his niece’s 18th birthday

He wrote, “I made my Taylor Swift cake for my niece’s birthday,” and it immediately went viral.

The cake – round and bright pink – looked like a face, with eyes, nose and mouth all drawn in icing.

But the eyes were uneven and looked in different directions, while the nose consisted of only two small black lines.

The bright red mouth was wide open and Keith was using what looked like white Tic Tacs for the teeth.

Brown licorice lay in disarray around the cake for her hair, while Keith placed small red dots on each side of her face to resemble the Cruel Summer singer’s rosy cheeks.

He also added pieces of sponge shaped like fingers, as well as a sponge that looked like a fake microphone.

“I really hope you set aside money to support any future therapies your niece will need,” someone joked in the comments section.

“If this is meant to be realistic… It’s a bit creepy,” someone else wrote.

Others left sarcastic comments, with one person writing: “Do you think you can just show us pictures of Taylor Swift and we wouldn’t notice?”

Finally, Keith added in the comments section that his niece “loved it”

Another user added: ‘Oh what nightmares she must have had.’

“It’s scary as hell,” read a fourth comment, while a fifth said: “That is one of the most terrifying things I have ever seen. Nightmare stuff there.”

“I definitely see the resemblance, well done Keith,” another user added, while another person commented: “The resemblance is uncanny.”
