“Someone to get these two a TV show, I’d watch them all day,” added another.
As they toured the kitchen, Lily joked, ‘[This is] Our simple English cuisine!
David then explained, “When I met Lily Allen, we went out for the first time and at one point you said to me, ‘I always wanted simple English cooking.'”
Lily said it wasn’t their first date when she made the comment, as it would have come across as overenthusiastic.
“That would be pretty daring on a first date, like, ‘nice to meet you, by the way, English is the name of the kitchen.'”
David laughed, then said sweetly, “I liked it, I kinda liked it, I said, ‘OK, let’s do this!'”
