A woman has revealed how she lost 121 pounds in just one year after switching to the carnivore diet.
Amanda Lipstate, of Bellingham, Washington, has candidly shared her weight loss transformation on social media after deciding to turn her life around.
The physiotherapist, 33, said she was “in the depths of despair” as she weighed 360 pounds and was eager for things to change.
Now at 239 pounds, she’s revealed how her entire lifestyle has improved and claims the diet change has cut her grocery bill by 60 percent.

Amanda has said she had been overweight since she was a teenager and was plagued by a slew of health issues.
She said News week that at the age of 18 she was diagnosed with scleroderma – a rare autoimmune disease – before also being told she had Raynaud’s phenomenon – which affects the blood vessels in the hands and feet, sleep apnea and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
The rapid succession of diagnoses left her struggling with “severe depression and anxiety,” which often meant she “wouldn’t leave the house for months.”
At 32, she weighed 360 pounds, had type 2 diabetes, and needed the help of a walker to get around.
She wrote on her blog, “For two decades of my life I have carried the weight of the struggles associated with obesity.
“I battled my own body and tried countless diets in my pursuit of transformation.”
But in June 2022, Amanda made the decision to turn her life around once and for all – and quickly found a solution.
Amanda said she “embraced the power of simplicity” with the Carnivore Diet, and about six weeks after becoming addicted to the diet, “she started appreciating herself again.” In the photo: afterwards

She told the publication: “The impetus for this change was that I went to the hospital in severe pain, thinking I was going to die.
“As I sat in the hospital bed, I remember looking at my husband and it struck me that all my choices in life had led me here.
“The next day I went home and we took all the sugars and carbs out of my house.”
Her blog post read, “In the depths of my desperation, I stumbled upon an epiphany that would change the course of my life forever — the carnivore diet.”
Amanda decided to make the transition to the regime in which followers usually eat only meat, without carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, grains or nuts.
But she revealed the transition wasn’t easy at first, adding, “I’ve been on the standard American diet all my life.
“I had to fully accept and understand that eating what I wanted led to me becoming morbidly obese and severely depressed.
“I had experienced an aversion to meat a few times, but I realized it was my brain throwing a tantrum because it wanted sugar and carbs.”
However, Amanda soon began to see improvements in her overall health, as she no longer suffered from joint pain, brain fog, or fluid retention – and she no longer has type 2 diabetes, meaning she doesn’t have to manage her glucose levels with medication.
She said she “embraced the power of simplicity,” and about six weeks after becoming addicted to the diet, “she started appreciating herself again.”
Now, just over 12 months ago, Amanda has lost a whopping 121 pounds and believes her entire way of life has improved.
She also revealed that the diet had also produced huge financial savings as she cut her grocery bill by 60 percent.
Amanda now hopes to encourage others to follow suit, concluding, ‘The hardships I endured were not in vain; they served as a catalyst for my transformation.
“Through the Carnivore Diet, I not only discovered a way to heal my body, but also discovered a new purpose — one that drives me to uplift and inspire others on their own path to wellness.”
