A Canadian fashion model has shared a terrifying date story on TikTok about why people shouldn’t use dating app Raya.
Celeste Aria claims she went on a few dates with a man, which didn’t work out, but her encounter with him a year later at an exclusive restaurant scared her enough to never go back to the venue.
“I beg you not to join Raya,” Celeste begged her followers last Friday.
She continued, “Men who are motivated enough to get Raya are insane – sociopathic, egomaniacs… There just to chase the tail.”
Canadian fashion model Celeste Aria shared reasons why women should ‘pay attention’ when signing up for Raya, and why she regrets using the app
Celeste has appeared in fashion shows representing Gucci, Balenciaga and Alessandro Michele. She is also pursuing a career in music and released the single Pretty Sleeper on September 1
Celeste told viewers that she joined Raya in 2021 after submitting an application without a referral.
She then turned her attention to the women using the app to discuss and target the men using the app.
She suggested, “Think about the psychology of a man joining Raya.”
“Discover the app, apply or have a friend refer them, pay for it, and they’ve probably been paying for it for more than a few months.”
Celeste said the man raised his eyebrows extremely wide when he saw her a year after their dates
The man scared her and she wouldn’t approach or acknowledge him. She has not been to that restaurant since the incident
Celeste tried a possible relationship with a man she matched with on Raya, but failed.
However, when the couple saw each other after calling it off, the man wasn’t so keen to see her.
She explained, “He stands on the couch… And opens his eyes wide.”
The man stared at her for “30 solid minutes,” which terrified Celeste.
She continued, “I tried not to acknowledge him because I didn’t want him to come to me and my friends. He went out of his way to actually scare me and act weird in public places.”
Knowing that the man was a member of the establishment where she saw him, Celeste made the decision never to go back because she was “legitimately afraid.”
Celeste remains active on Instagram and TikTok to continue promoting her modeling and music career. She currently has the most followers on TikTok
She has traveled the world for photo shoots and fashion shows, and is currently signed to Tank Agency and SYSTEM Agency – representing their locations in Milan, Barcelona and Berlin
Raya was initially founded in 2015 as a dating app for celebrities, before growing into a platform also used for networking and social discovery
She also admitted, “I’m also a little scared of the other people I matched with because they got kind of weird, leering and creepy on Instagram.”
“I felt so unsafe, and all the guys were so crazy and so sociopathic – be careful with their ladies.”
Raya is a private membership community that started as a dating app but has since grown into a networking and social discovery platform.
It was launched in 2015 and can be used on iPhones and iPads for $9.99 per month.
To join Raya, you’ll need to fill out a sign-up form and have an impressive social media presence.
