‘I hope he’s not hurt’: Trump, 76, shows concern for Biden, 80, after falling on stage – laughing at himself for having to ‘tiptoe’ down THAT ramp at West Point

Donald Trump expressed concern for President Joe Biden and even joked about himself when he learned that he had fallen again while on stage at the Air Force Academy.

“Did he really fall?” Well, I hope he wasn’t hurt,” the former president said when told of the 80-year-old’s fall during the Iowa campaign.

Biden being helped back to his feet after his trip will raise more concerns about his age and health during his second term for president.

‘It’s all crazy. You have to be careful with that. Even if you have to tiptoe down an incline,” Trump added.

Trump was referring to the moment when, three years ago, he left the podium at West Point Military Academy and appeared to cautiously shuffle down the slope.

During the June 2020 speech, Trump used two hands to sip from a glass of water and took what appeared to be “baby steps” as he walked away.

“The ramp I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long and steep, had no handrail, and was especially very slippery,” Trump said in a tweet in the aftermath.

It raised questions and concerns about his health, similar to Biden in his latest incident.

He was assisted by Air Force officials as he fell to the ground. It was the latest of several incidents where the president briefly lost his footing, though in this case it brought him down.

After the fall, the president then walked away unassisted, appearing to point to a sandbag on the podium that he seemed to trip over. The White House pointed the finger at a black sandbag that was seen near the dais where Biden delivered the commencement speech.

“He’s fine,” White House communications director Ben LaBolt tweeted shortly after the incident. “There was a sandbag on stage as he shook hands.”

The stumbling comes just weeks after Biden tripped while visiting the Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima, Japan.

During that event, a railing was available on a staircase that the president had to navigate down. He ignored the railing and stumbled, walking down and recovering his balance. Biden also stumbled when he boarded Air Force One on a trip to Selma, Alabama, in March.

Biden fell up the stairs when he boarded Air Force One in 2021 and fell on his bike near his beach house in Delaware last June. He was not injured in any of the incidents.

A pool reporter who traveled to Colorado with the president said Biden “walked back to his seat when he fell.” He turned out to have tripped on stage over a black sandbag.

“As he fell, he pointed to the black sandbag, suggesting he had tripped on it,” the report said.
