This is the chilling moment a Russian presenter announces her plan to become pregnant on state television, following Vladimir Putin’s call for women to give birth to avoid a demographic crisis.
Natalya Litovko, 43, announced that she and her husband were inspired by the Kremlin leader’s call in his State of the Nation speech to fulfill their patriotic duty and procreate.
She told Rossiya 24 viewers on live TV about her mission to increase the size of her family. The loyalist presenter already has two children.
Russia’s population is shrinking, partly as a result of its belligerent economy, which is mired in trouble and failing to provide for ordinary consumers.
The human cost of his conflict with Ukraine, which has left hundreds of thousands of Russian men dead and maimed, is also a factor.

“Speaking of the (new) national project – Family,” a smiling Litovka announced.
“My husband just texted me to say we’re having a third child.”
Her co-host – apparently surprised – said to the viewers: “Well, we’ll tell you later.”
Putin has been obsessed with the falling birth rate for some time and rarely misses an opportunity to call on women to have more children.
He recently lectured workers at a rocket factory on the need to have more than two children.
“Continued work aimed at improving the quality of life of families with children and supporting the birth rate is needed,” he said today.
‘It is our religion and our moral values that are in the foreground here.
‘Large families must become the norm. We must achieve a sustainable birth rate over the next six years.’
He announced that state money would be poured into regions with low birth rates to improve incentives to have more children.
He did not explain why – after 25 years as president or prime minister – he had allowed Russia to face such a crisis.
He was sure that the West was taking the wrong route.
“The main purpose of the family is the birth of children, the continuation of the human race, the education of children, and therefore the continuation of the existence of our multinational people,” he told the nation.
‘We see what is happening in some countries as they deliberately destroy moral norms and the institution of the family and push entire peoples into extinction and degeneration.
‘But we choose life.’
He added: “Russia is and will remain a stronghold of traditional values on which human civilization is built.
“Our choice is shared by the majority of people in the world, including millions of citizens of Western countries.”
“Continued work aimed at improving the quality of life of families with children and supporting the birth rate is needed,” Putin said today in his annual speech in Moscow.
Putin has not told Russians how many children he has.
The Russian president never discusses this aspect of his life or his relationship status, but it is believed that he has fathered five or six children with at least three women.
He had two daughters with his ex-wife Lyudmila Putina, once Russia’s first lady.
The eldest is Maria Vorontsova, 38, a geneticist and expert on dwarfism, and a leading researcher at the National Medical Research Center for Endocrinology of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
Some experts have tipped her to become Russia’s next health minister.
Her sister Katerina Tikhonova, 37, a former rock ‘n’ roll dancer turned mathematician, is director general of Russia’s National Intellectual Development Foundation.
Another daughter is Luiza Rozova, 20, also known as Elizaveta Vladimirovna Krivonogikh, who studies in the West as a design student during her father’s war in Ukraine.
Her mother is Putin’s former lover, the cleaner turned multi-millionaire Svetlana Krivonogikh, 48.
Putin is believed to have two to three secret children with “secret wife” Alina Kabaeva, 40, a former Olympic gold-winning rhythmic gymnast.
Almost nothing is known about them, but rumors suggest that they are two boys and a girl.
One is believed to have been born in 2015 in Switzerland, another in 2019 in Moscow.
They grow up in various Putin palaces, guarded by the FSO security service, near Moscow and on the Black Sea.
