I have long hair growing from the middle of my forehead – cruel trolls tell me to cut off my ‘antenna’ but I have learned to embrace it

A woman born with a birthmark on her forehead from which long hair grows has revealed the intense trolling she has been subjected to – with people telling her to cut off or laser off the ‘antenna’.

Rada Prelevic, who lives in Norway, has had long hair growing from her forehead, below her hairline, since birth.

The 18-year-old model was flooded with comments on social media from people criticizing her unique appearance.

But she insists she loves it and has come to embrace her differences.

Rada shared, “My comment sections are filled with hate. I receive hate online every day. People are super mean about it. I receive so much hate both online and in real life.

‘Some people at school love to just ask me what it is and then look at me.

“(On social media, others) will follow my DMs and write long messages telling me to get rid of it, laser it or cut it.

‘One person even wrote to me saying he would find me and disconnect while I was sleeping. That really scared me.

‘I no longer feel safe because of a birthmark. I just don’t understand this world and this society today.”

Growing up, Rada’s experiences were largely positive.

She said: ‘My birthmark has really been with me my whole life. It’s never bothered me.

‘I remember as a little girl, because I was bullied about it in kindergarten, (asking) ‘mommy, why do I have this thing on my forehead, why don’t my brothers have it?’

‘And she answered me in such a beautiful way (saying), “because you are unique.”

“I loved that answer, so when everyone asked me why and what, I just said, ‘It’s because I’m unique.’

Rada started sharing clips of herself on TikTok, but was shocked when posts went viral and received negative attention because of her forehead.

In one post, which was viewed 2.4 million times, she explained her feelings towards her character and the trolling she received.

She said: ‘I’m not going to shave it off. I think it’s so beautiful and that I’m so lucky to have it.

“You don’t see this (mark) every day and I love it. I don’t feel strange. I feel beautiful and unique.’

Commenting on the clip, one user said: ‘It’s all I stare at.’

“Wow, I didn’t know it was possible,” said another viewer.

Someone else described it as an ‘antenna’ while others begged her to laser or cut it, while another said: ‘I want to take it off.’

Someone else commented: ‘Oh no, that would drive me crazy. I’d probably just have bangs to hide it. But hey, it’s up to you, and you like it, so you do too!’

But other viewers loved the unusual feature.

One person said: ‘Why are people so mean?’ I LOVE IT??? It’s the same vibe as an eyebrow slit or something, but the opposite. It’s so cool.’

‘You are (a) breath of fresh air. We love a confident queen. Beautiful,” said another fan.

Someone else commented: ‘You are beautiful and unique. I hope the nasty comments don’t exhaust you. I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with people.’

‘It’s unique to you! People feel uncomfortable when others don’t look like them,” said another viewer.
