He said: 'Sharing a bed with your partner is fucking painful. I miss having my own bed.

“I hate sharing a blanket and having to be aware of having to wake someone else up and also having to wake up all the time.” I miss just flopping into bed and not caring about anything.

'I miss having my own bedroom and having time for myself. I hate having to stop what I'm doing when she comes home to talk to her and share boring details about my day.”

But other social media users quickly flooded the comments section, criticizing the man – adding that it sounds like there are deep-seated issues within the marriage.

One person said: 'There are plenty of happily married people sleeping in separate bedrooms. For some, that's what saved the marriage.

“But from your last sentence I think your problems may go further than that. If you hate talking to her when she comes home, maybe you just don't like her anymore.”

Someone else wrote: 'Yes. I understand that the whole sleeping situation is a problem, as I have enough trouble sleeping quietly and peacefully on my own. But everything else OP says just translates to, “I'm tired of being married and I miss being single.”

'I got married at 19 and have been married for over ten years and have never felt this way. This is not normal,” someone else added.

Another user wrote: 'All but the last line is about sleeping arrangements, which can easily be solved with separate beds. But if you no longer feel the need to share the simple things/conversations in life with your partner, then I don't think it will last for long!'

“I think you have deeper problems here than just your bed,” someone else said.

Another user wrote: 'This sounds like it's about more than just the bed.'

Another user wrote: 'Oh, this goes deeper than 'I want my own bed'. This is: “I'm tired of my partner and want a new one, but I'm going to talk about the bed.”
