A new mother was furious when she thought her husband was drinking her orange juice – the only drink she could drink after giving birth while she was recovering from the flu.
But the truth was much stranger.
Instead, Sheridan Hockley discovered that a tradie had stolen a 2-litre bottle of juice from her fridge when he came to work on her windows.
She lives with her husband in Edinburgh and was suffering from flu and a respiratory infection.
Because she had recently given birth, Sheridan wasn’t allowed to take many medications, so she went ‘old school’ and bought large cartons of orange juice to try to get better.
“Sheridan knew she had just bought a 2 liter bottle of orange juice and she went to the fridge to get it but it wasn’t there.” Brittanyher sister, shared the story in an episode of her podcast, Life Uncircumcised.
The couple lives alone, but Sheridan’s brother-in-law lives in an apartment in the same building.
“Sheridan went back to her husband Jay in a rage,” Brittany said. “She was full of hormones, sick and wanted juice.”
“I can’t believe you drank my juice,” Sheridan spat out. “You know I’m here, struggling to stay alive, and you’ve drunk the only thing I can consume.

The couple argued about it, but Jay insisted he never touched the juice.
“Honey, I promise I didn’t drink the juice,” he said.
Sheridan then became furious and asked her brother-in-law, who claimed he had been working all day.
It was then that she remembered that a tradie had come to their house earlier in the day to fix the windows.
The doorbell camera captured an image of the tradie leaving with the unopened juice box.
“He didn’t just drink it – he went to their refrigerator, grabbed the juice and then left the house with this bottle of juice,” Brittany claimed in shock.
“As a tradie, you can go get a drink, but you are not allowed to buy groceries from the refrigerator,” says Laura, co-host of the podcast.

Many Australians were then inspired to share their bizarre stories.
‘I once left money for a house sitter under a used candle so it wouldn’t blow away. She took the money and the candle,” someone said.
One man recalled, “I’ll always remember coming home from school one day and the cleaner was having a pool party in the backyard with her friends.”
“While we were building our house, a tradie stole our hanging lamp,” one woman reveals. “We know it was a tradie because it was perfectly removed.”
Another continued: ‘A tradie came over with his laundry and hung it on my washing line.’
