A single woman was thrilled after tracking down a ‘stunning’ stranger she met at work weeks later – and she has the internet to thank for her blossoming relationship.
Brittany helped a “beautiful” man in a country hat at her retail job in Canberra and immediately regretted not asking for his information.
“I would have married that man on the spot,” she recalled telling her friend. “I noticed him at once because of the white country hat; the people of Canberra don’t dress like that.’
The 30-year-old continued: “He took my breath away. He had blue eyes and beautiful hair. We had a really nice interaction, our eyes were closed, but then he left.”
Brittany shared her tale of woe on TikTok to ask the internet sleuths for help finding her man – and they delivered.
“I need your help to find a man,” she said in a now-viral video explaining their brief encounter.
The stranger entered the store and asked for help locating an item, but Brittany couldn’t find it and asked him to check it online.
He also wore a flannel button-up shirt, jeans and a jacket while carrying a David Jones bag.
Brittany thought she would never see him again, but fate was on her side.
‘He came back in the afternoon. I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is my chance… this is the universe telling me to approach this man again.’
“So I go up to him and ask, ‘Hey, did you finally find what you were looking for?’ And he said he didn’t.
“I was just about to ask him if he was open (to dating), but another customer interrupted us and asked for a shoe size.”

Brittany helped the other woman and prayed that her handsome stranger wouldn’t leave, but soon she had to watch helplessly as he walked out.
“That was my only chance,” she said sadly. “I need all the FBI girls here to look for him.”
She pleaded: “If you know a man and he’s not from Canberra, but he’s from the countryside and was wearing a white country hat on October 12, I need your help.
‘This man took my breath away. And I just want to tell him how beautiful he was.”
Brittany went to work the next day and kept an eye on things – she even tried to look at security footage, but her boss denied the request.
Two weeks of false alarms and countless fruitless DMs later, she finally had an exciting development.
‘I got an Instagram message from someone who wasn’t him, but knew him. Long story short, they said he saw the video. He’s not on social media, but he wanted to connect.”
Brittany was skeptical at first, but soon realized that this was the man she was looking for.
“I got his number and we talked on the phone,” she said. ‘He’s 29. He’s from the countryside. He’s single, and as soon as he gets back to Canberra we’ll meet for a drink.
‘He told me he was a bit overwhelmed by the situation, but still wanted to go out. It was absolutely incredible to connect with him again. He’s so nice, funny and down to earth, which is really sweet.’
Millions were happy for Brittany and wished her the best on her journey to finding love.
