I discovered ‘female Viagra’ in my 40s – now I’m having sex again like I’m in my 20s

A woman in her 40s says she’s having sex like she’s in her 20s again, thanks to ‘female Viagra’.
Roxanne Merchant, from Leeds, started hating sex after experiencing peri-menopausal symptoms.
Desperate for an answer, Mrs Merchant, 44, decided to give the Β£899 O-Shot a try.
Also known as a ‘vampire facial’ for the vagina, it involves injecting a woman’s own blood directly into her intimate area.
Ms Merchant, who works in marketing, noticed an improvement after just one injection.
Roxanne Merchant, 44, from Leeds, said her sex life is just as good as it was when she was 20. She describes the treatment as ‘the female version of Viagra’.
She said: ‘I’m having sex like I’m 20 again and having to catch my breath after an orgasm β even my partner said ‘wow’.
‘(Previously) I had to use more and more lube every time I had sex.
‘When I used something like bath bombs, even organic ones, they made everything worse.
“It got to the point where I had to wear granny pants so that I wouldn’t be so irritated and sore, but I would (still) notice little scratches, rips, or tears at the bottom because of the dryness.”
The injections consist of platelet-rich plasma (PRP). Plasma is called ‘liquid gold’ because of its yellowish color and many benefits. Platelets, meanwhile, are a type of blood cells that are essential for healing.
A similar treatment β ββfor the face, to banish wrinkles β was popularized by the likes of Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow.
NHS clinics already offer PRP injections to patients with injured knees or tendons to boost the healing process.
But private sites are now also using it as a libido booster.

After researching the treatment, Ms Merchant found Dr Farzana Khan to be the only doctor in the North of England to offer the ‘O-shot’
Clinics also claim that it stimulates collagen production, a natural decrease of which can lead to burning sensations, bleeding and pain during sex.
Ms Merchant came across the ‘O-Shot’ after looking for treatments for perimenopause and knew some friends who had also undergone the procedure in the US.
She eventually found Dr. Farzana Khan, the only doctor in the north of England who offered the treatment. She had her PRP taken out RainLab before it was inserted into her vagina.
She said: ‘I was a bit nervous at first and didn’t know what to expect, but the first part of the treatment was a consultation about what to expect.’
Ms Merchant claims the treatment was painless with ‘not even mild discomfort’ and required no recovery time afterwards.
She added: ‘A course of three treatments was recommended to me and now the feeling and hydration is just amazing and this has really changed my life.
‘It’s like the female version of Viagra.
‘Women should not suffer in silence and should use things like lubricant when we know it is sticky and will only add to the problem.
‘My confidence in the bedroom is through the roof because I don’t have to worry about how I’ll feel after sex or run to the bathroom to shower.
‘I have never been able to have an orgasm through my G-spot, but I am experiencing that now too.’
But not only her sex life has changed due to the treatment, but also the appearance of her vagina. βIt looks rejuvenated and more youthful,β she added.
