I didn’t expect Fallout to win Best Adaptation at The Game Awards 2024 when Netflix’s Arcane was such a hit

  • Fallout won Best Editing at The Game Awards 2024
  • Arcane fans feel ‘robbed’ that the popular animated series did not win
  • Both shows have been huge successes and are fun to watch even if you’re a newcomer to video game franchises

Arcane fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment at the outcome of one of today’s winners at The Game Awards 2024, following the announcement that Amazon’s Fallout The TV program was crowned ‘Best Editing’.

Arcaan, one of the best Netflix shows, brings the League of Legends universe through the use of striking animated visuals and explosive action. Meanwhile, one of the best Prime Video shows, precipitation, “brings one of gaming’s most iconic series to life with a deeply satisfying mix of dedication to source material and narrative originality,” as Tom Power wrote in Ny Breaking’s Fallout season 1 judgement.

The thing is though, both video game adaptations are great watches, but what they have in common is the fact that they aren’t just aimed at fans of the video games. It doesn’t matter if you’re an avid fan or a newcomer to the franchise, both shows will amaze you (just as The last of us did it for me).

However, this hasn’t stopped fans from flocking to social media to express their opinions Fallout winning the prize Arcaan, with one user even feeling “robbed” by the defeat.

Although Arcane missed season 2 this time, the animated series has not remained without a large number of awards. In addition to winning ‘Best Adaptation’ at The Game Awards in 2022, the series also won four Emmy Awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, becoming the first streaming series to win the award.
