Discussing her experience in a viral video titled “My Dry January Experience,” she explained exactly how she came to the conclusion that taking a month off from alcohol could benefit her.

“Y'all, this is me on this day, six years ago. This is also the last day I ever drink alcohol,” she said.

She explained that she drank half a beer that day and then walked out of the bar with the intention of only giving up the booze for 30 days.

“And those thirty days turned into sixty days, then ninety days, and six months, and six years later, here I am.

“And I'm so proud of that girl who was brave enough to make the decision to break up with alcohol even though all my friendships and socializations revolved around me being a weekend warrior and it revolved around drinking,” she said she.

After getting sober, Amanda said she has never “felt happier” and “more comfortable in her own skin.”

The non-alcoholic coach added that she has never regretted her decision to leave booze behind and was supportive of viewers debating leaving alcohol behind.
