The woman, known on YouTube as @thenakedgardener_official, uploaded a video in May 2023, with the caption: “Why I garden this way every day.”

The American woman first experimented with nude gardening after moving from the Arizona desert to a remote plot of land in the Midwest, which allowed her to live more sustainably and grow her own produce.

After a relationship with her partner ended, she sought a form of solace by taking topless walks through vast forests, forests and mountains near her home in the American Heartland.

For The Naked Gardener, it didn’t take long for naked gardening to become more than just a hobby; it became a way of life, and she describes how she believes our connection to nature is “vital to our health and to the health of the planet.”

She said: ‘We must remember that we are not separate from nature, but part of it – our minds and bodies need it, just like the plants. We need the sun to touch our skin, we need the air to move through our bodies, we need clean water and healthy soil.”

Explaining how she believes our well-being is intimately linked to our connection with nature, the gardener, by exposing everything in the garden, feels a deep sense of harmony with the natural world.

She added: ‘If we let our bodies feel the sun, air and water, if we touch the ground and feel the ground beneath our feet, we can thrive and be healthier as a species – this is why I garden naked, to have a deeper connection again.’

The gardener stressed that she only gardens ‘naked’, adding that she does not use herbicides, pesticides or chemicals, and that this extends into every other aspect of her life – from the products she uses on her skin to the food she eats. she eats.
