A woman who moved into a shed in her parent’s backyard proudly showed off her hippie hideaway that is rent-free and just steps away from her actual home.
Aniah Warne, 21, of Boise, Idaho, gave up a tour of her one-bedroom home TikTok after a viewer commented that she “lives in a goddamn barn” and added, “I love this so much.”
“I do live in a shed. This is my shed,’ the student said with a smile.
Warne panned the camera around her parents’ backyard, with stone walkways and lots of lush greenery. She pointed out that the barn is right next to their house.

It was summer then and she had the wall open, revealing the view from her bed
“So I have a step here that looks like a little porch, and this wall opens up,” she explained, showing how she had a view of the bamboo plant outside from her bed.
She also has an entry door on the side of the shed that she uses to access the room, which is about the size of a small studio apartment.
The space is eclectic with a tapestry hanging above the bed, lots of plants, floating shelves, posters and a salt lamp.
“So I have my desk, a TV, my bed, and then this is the view while I’m in my bed,” she said of the setup.
“And then I have my nightstand with supplies, a cute little chair, plant, shelves, refrigerator. I have this mirror to look at outfits and then this is my closet.’
The small walk-in closet is quite big for one person and has both shelves and rods to hang her clothes, but it was overflowing with stuff.
Warned pointed out that she has a desk and TV, just like a typical college dorm

The barn has no bathroom or kitchen, but is rent-free
“It’s pretty clean now,” she joked about the mess.
‘So yes. That’s my shed,” she concludes the video, which has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
Warne confirmed she was a fan of the living arrangement in the caption, writing, “Love my rent-free shed.”
The only things missing were a bathroom and kitchen, but she noted in the comments that she only uses the ones in her parent’s house.
Warne answered questions from some viewers about her pseudo-apartment in a follow-up clip after someone asked her about the “bug situation.”
“Honestly, I don’t have a problem with spiders or mosquitoes or flies,” she said. “I’ve got the door and window open now, and there’s not a single fly in here. I do have to worry about leaving out food because of ants.’
People were also curious about the temperature in the barn, but she explained that it was equipped with air conditioning and heating.
Warne admitted in an earlier clip that when she was younger she thought she would get a job and move out, but she did the exact opposite

As for the bathroom and kitchen, she showed how easy it was for her to go to her parents’ house and use their amenities
Warne, who filmed her barn tour a few years ago, moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, this winter to take up snowboarding. It is unclear if she will return to her barn this spring
‘When it’s hot, I have an air conditioner. When it’s cold I have a heater and when it’s moderate I just leave the door open,” she said.
As for the bathroom and kitchen, she showed how easy it was for her to go to her parents’ house and use their amenities.
“I walk in about 10 feet. Immediately when you enter there is the bathroom [and] there’s the kitchen,” she told viewers.
Warne admitted in an earlier clip that when she was younger she thought she would get a job, move out and go to a non-public school, but she did the exact opposite.
She eventually went to college in her hometown, lived in her parents’ backyard, and was a “stoner.”
