Hyundai’s Kona has been named Car of the Year amid a hat-trick of awards in the auto industry’s ‘Oscars’.
It was also crowned Small Commercial Vehicle and Small SUV of the Year at the annual Auto Express Awards, which looked at performance, handling and handling, refinement, usability, technology and cost of ownership.

According to the jury, it was a ‘striking’ car.
“Winning a category is an incredible achievement, but to win the grand prize, a car needs that little bit extra,” they said.
The new five-seater is larger because customers wanted more seating space.
