The act forced Hunter Biden to issue a ‘grudging apology’ to the head of the tabloid program, the New York Post reports.
The problem occurred when 17-year-old Naomi Biden sought out Nevada Senator Harry Reid while he was still a student at Washington DC’s elite Sidwell Friends High School.
In June 2011, she and a fellow tabloid were given a tour of the Capitol dome and allegedly defaced some of the walls surrounding the dome by carving their names into the stone.
In response, Hunter Biden wrote an apologetic email to Elizabeth Roach, the longtime overseer of the Senate page program.

‘I am Naomi Biden’s father. I cannot express how sorry I am for Naomi’s behavior. I’ve been in meetings all day and just heard from Aliza’s mother what happened’ reads the email seen by the Post.
‘As soon as Naomi finishes work today, I will talk to her. I am very disappointed in their behavior but understand that the intent was not malicious,” Hunter wrote on June 30, 2011.
“It was vandalism,” one former Reid staffer told the Post.
‘I remember perfectly. On the tour of the rotunda if you go up to the top of the dome, they carved their names in the stone.’
‘It’s at the very top, so you can only have a few people up there at a time. It should have been on the tour. There’s no way they could have gotten up there at any other time,’ recalls the insider.
“They had to bring in architects and everything to clear it out.”

Less than an hour later, Roach replied ‘thank you for the email and for reinforcing to Naomi the seriousness of the situation.
“I instructed the pages to write letters of apology to the sergeant-at-arms and the sergeant-at-arms. Naomi wrote very appropriate notes for each of them,’ she said.
After flipping in the Senate, Naomi Biden went to the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia Law School.
She later went into international arbitration law at Arnold & Porter, a white shoe DC law firm.
