Hunter Biden secretly hid in the White House for two weeks after taking a plea to his tax and gun crimes, a report said.

The president’s scandal-plagued 53-year-old son spent two weeks in the executive mansion starting June 21 — the day after he reached the now-defunct plea deal with U.S. attorney David Weiss, the Washington Post reported.

The deal would have saved Hunter jail for failing to pay taxes and lying about his drug use on a gun form – but it exploded when the judge informed Hunter that he could still face charges for other crimes in the future.

Most of Biden’s aides were unaware of Hunter’s extended stay on the property – which overlapped with the cocaine found at the White House on July 2, a White House state dinner with the Prime Minister of India, two Biden family trips to Camp David and an Independence Day bash. .

Hunter, his wife Melissa and son Beau left the White House on July 5.

The report notes that Biden’s aides are “firmly avoiding” talking about Hunter and his ongoing legal woes, believing their “contributions and ideas would be unwelcome.”

Hunter’s extended visit is a reminder of his continued bond with his prominent father, despite the “toll” his scandals take on the president. That proximity will surely be used against Biden in the 2024 election, as Republicans have gone to great lengths to prove that Joe was involved in Hunter’s business deals.

House Republicans seized on testimony from Hunter’s associate Devon Archer, who claimed that Joe had interacted with Hunter’s business associates about 20 times in 10 years.

Joe Biden has made closeness to his family a key tenet of his public brand — and has said repeatedly that he tries to talk to all of his children and grandchildren every day. Hunter’s 29-year-old daughter Naomi and her then-fiancée Peter Neal lived at the White House last year prior to their on-site wedding. It is not clear whether they still live there.

People close to the Biden family told the Post they fear the constant scrutiny of Hunter, a recovering drug addict, could lead him to make “damaging” decisions.

The first son has retained a relatively high prestige, even as legal problems pile up. He accompanied Biden on a trip to Ireland with Air Force 1 in April and attended state dinners at the White House.
