Hunter Biden sells more paintings for up to $225,000 to anonymous buyers

Hunter Biden presented his latest solo exhibition in which paintings sold for up to $225,000 to anonymous buyers despite ethical concerns.

The embattled son of the president attended the gallery opening Thursday night in Manhattan for his Haiku series, which featured paintings of colorful flowers and tree-like designs.

SoHo gallery owner Geroge Berges, Hunter’s art dealer, said the daily beast that new art pieces range in price from $55,000 to $225,000.

While Biden seemed to revel in his latest display, it once again raises ethical concerns that the sales are vulnerable to people who want to influence his father, President Joe Biden.

It also comes amid an ongoing investigation into Hunter’s finances and allegations of illegal business in China and Ukraine that remain in the public eye as Twitter responds to why it suppressed the story about his laptop leak.

While the gallery served as a moment of respite for the president's troubled son, it once again raised concerns that buyers were making overly generous offers to the budding artist in hopes of warming up to his father. Pictured: Hunter at the gallery's opening night.

In an effort to prevent any ethical breaches, White House officials have said they put measures in place to protect information about how much of Hunter’s work sold and to whom.

Berges said the latest paintings were a form of self-reflection for the president’s son as he is marred by controversy over his laptop and finances.

“I think this series is meditative and contemplative, and I think it reflects who he is right now,” Berges added.

During his earlier gallery last year, Biden said art net: ‘I don’t paint from emotion or feeling, I think both are very ephemeral.

“For me, painting is much more about trying to bring to light what I think is the universal truth…the universal truth is that everything is connected and that there is something that goes far beyond our five senses and that connects us all.

Berges added that all the new paintings have haiku on the back, hence the gallery’s name.

One of those haiku that Berges shared was:

The atoms bloom in my chest

The whole room is full, it’s full.

I can see all the colors

It seemed to break with the standard 5-7-5 syllable structure of a typical haiku.

Although the art exhibit served as something of a respite for the troubled Hunter, questions that many former White House ethics chiefs have raised regarding said gallery still linger.

Art critics have said that pieces by an untrained debut artist like Hunter don’t often fetch such high prices, and believe his last name is significantly inflating their price.

During a similar gallery last year, two former White House ethics chiefs warned that buyers could try to gain the president’s influence by buying his son’s work for inflated sums.

“I think that’s absolutely appalling,” Obama’s White House ethics chief Walter Shaub said on Law & Crime’s “Objections” podcast in August.

Richard Painter, George W. Bush’s chief ethics officer, told Fox: ‘It’s going to be very clear with people who know who buys Hunter Biden art.

‘The question is, will the American people know? The White House should insist on full transparency.

The White House did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

Questions about the art gallery aren’t the only ones the White House is currently facing regarding the president’s son.

The White House insisted again that President Biden was not involved in Twitter’s decisions to censor conservative voices or suppress stories on his son’s laptop on Friday, less than 24 hours after Musk dropped his second batch of files. .

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also denied that the administration had any direct contact with former FBI agent and Twitter general counsel Jim Baker about moderating the stories.

Earlier this week, Musk fired Baker, who was serving as one of Twitter’s top lawyers, for his “possible” role in suppressing the Hunter Biden story in October 2020.

The story broke less than three weeks before the 2020 election. Other news organizations were initially unable to verify their allegations that Hunter Biden introduced his father to a senior figure at a Ukrainian energy company.

During his daily briefing on Friday, press secretary Jean-Pierre was asked if Baker had been contacted by Biden’s team regarding content moderation decisions.

‘It is up to private companies to make these kinds of decisions. We were not involved, I can say that we were not involved,’ he said.

Earlier this week, Jean-Pierre said it’s “not healthy” for Twitter to release internal communications showing Twitter suppressed the laptop bombing report showing Hunter Biden trading his last name for cash.

It follows the release of two Twitter files in the past two weeks, including revelations posted by journalist Bari Weiss on Wednesday night that executives suppressed conservative accounts even if they didn’t violate politics and certain current affairs issues.

The first set of files from Twitter, posted in a thread on the social media platform by journalist Matt Taibbi, showed the Biden campaign asking Twitter to remove some nude photos and videos Hunter had left on his laptop. that they were circulating
