Hunter Biden has made a last-ditch effort to avoid confronting his baby mama next week, the DailyMail.com can reveal.

Judge Holly Meyer ordered the president’s son to stop procrastinating and appear before her in person to explain why he has repeatedly missed discovery deadlines in his efforts to reduce the child support he pays to Lunden Roberts.

But Hunter’s lawyers filed a continuation motion Wednesday afternoon, arguing for more time to “properly prepare” for Monday’s contempt hearing in Independence County Circuit Court in Arkansas.

Attorney Brent Langdon says his client is taking longer because Roberts hired Garrett Ziegler, a former Trump administration aide and longtime nemesis of Hunter, as an expert witness.

Hunter and his attorney friend Kevin Morris have already sued Ziegler, founder of the conservative nonprofit organization Marco Polo, for alleged harassment and invasion of privacy in a separate case related to his infamous abandoned laptop.

Hunter now wants him excluded from the paternity case or at least more time to analyze what Ziegler – who has been investigating the First Son’s finances for years – is going to say.

“Plaintiff in her designation of Garrett Ziegler did not provide, among other things, his curriculum vitae, his opinion, or a report,” Langdon said in Wednesday’s filing.

“In order for the Defendant to properly prepare for the Garrett Ziegler Ineligibility and/or Disqualification Hearing, his written discovery is necessary to determine his opinions and basis for those opinions at this time.”

Langdon insisted, “The continuation is not sought for the purpose of delay or harm to any party, but rather to obtain justice for all parties.”

But within an hour, Roberts’ attorney, Clinton Lancaster, had filed an appeal pointing out that Hunter had apologized for hearing after hearing in the bitter legal battle over Navy Joan Roberts, the four-year-old girl whose paternity test showed that it is his.

“Here we go again,” Lancaster snorted. “It’s time for Mr. Biden to come to Arkansas for this trial — last time a deposition and this time a hearing on his violation of court orders — and he wants another continuation.”

Lancaster said Hunter’s team found time to write a 32-page motion to disqualify Ziegler in their “little dispute” with the conservative activist so they could definitely prepare for Monday’s court date.

He added: ‘His method is always the same. Slow down, deny and avoid with a side of word salad.”

The latest legal skirmish comes after Roberts urged Judge Meyer to hurl Hunter in the county jail until he complied with court orders demanding he hand over details of his finances ahead of a two-day trial in July.

Hunter will also have to submit to a statement in which Roberts’ lawyers are likely to question him about his various businesses and shady overseas ventures.

Roberts won a reported $2.5 million settlement from Hunter after suing him in 2019 forcing him to take a DNA test to prove he was the father of Navy Joan during their 2017 affair.

The cute, blonde girl is the fourth of his five children, but neither he nor his parents Joe and Jill Biden have ever met the child or publicly acknowledged her existence.

Hunter claimed during the 10-month case that he was “unemployed and had no monthly income,” despite living in a $12,000-a-month Hollywood rental and driving a Porsche. But when a judge ordered him to provide financial records, he repeatedly failed to do so and instead settled out of court, with the two sides announcing a “global, final settlement of all matters.”

Lancaster also fired off a new discovery request that raised hundreds of questions about Hunter’s assets, earnings, foreign business dealings in Ukraine and China, plus any payoffs to attorneys and agents.

Sources say the list also covered Hunter’s recent income, asking him to detail all the artwork he’s sold in recent years, the names of the buyers, and any paperwork related to the purchases.

So far, Hunter has yet to comply, complaining that the lengthy interrogations are “vague and ambitious” and asking the court to drop some of the questions.

Navy Joan was born in August 2018, but she kept a secret until Roberts sued Hunter for child support in her native Arkansas.

Her ex-lover claimed in his 2021 memoir, Beautiful Things, that in the aftermath of his 2017 divorce from Kathleen Buhle, he was on such a “rampage” that he couldn’t remember the names of the women he slept with. to remind.
