Lunden Roberts, the woman who had a child out of wedlock with Hunter Biden, will release a tell-all book about their relationship during this summer’s Democratic National Convention.
Skyhorse Publishing announced this on Tuesday Out of the Shadows: My Life in the Wild World of Hunter Bidenwhich will be released on August 20th.
The book teases a “rollercoaster ride of a relationship” between Hunter and Roberts, who gave birth to five-year-old Navy Joan in August 2018.
“He just sat there in parrot boxer shorts and laid his pipes on his Rosemont Seneca desk,” Roberts wrote in a short clip shared. “I sat in Barack Obama’s chair from the Senate floor.”
“I took another look at Hunter — this friendly, intense and surprisingly transparent man — and thought, ‘This is definitely a man I want to get to know better,’” Roberts recalled.

The publisher teased that Roberts’ book would delve into “the drug chef who works in the kitchen of Rosemont Seneca” and “strip clubs where Hunter might try to hit the jack himself.”
Roberts reportedly worked at the Mpire strip club in Washington, DC during her brief affair with the current first son.
It teases that Roberts protected Hunter “from potential terrorists in New York City” and described an altercation between the baby mama and a “crazy MMA fighter” involving two weapons.
The book will reveal “dozens of other stories that make the laptop debacle seem routine.”
Hunter and Roberts’ relationship took place in late 2017 during a particularly tumultuous time in the younger Biden’s life, when he became addicted to crack cocaine following the 2015 death of his brother Beau.
He also dated Hallie, Beau Biden’s widow.
In his own memoirs, Beautiful thingsHunter admits that besides Hallie, the “other women I’d been with during the disasters since my divorce were hardly the dating type.”
Hunter Biden, who was spotted performing in Wilminton, Delaware last week, wrote in his 2021 memoir that he could not remember his date with Lunden Roberts, which resulted in their five-year-old daughter Navy Joan.

He wrote: ‘We would satisfy our immediate needs and little else. I’m not proud of it.’
“That’s why I would later challenge in court the woman in Arkansas who had a baby in 2018 and claimed it was mine — I had no memory of our meeting,” the first son admitted. ‘I had so little connection with anyone. I was a mess, but a mess that I took responsibility for.”
Once paternity was established, President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden publicly acknowledged their seventh grandchild in July 2023.
“Our son Hunter and Marine mother Lunden are working together to build a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, while preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward,” the Bidens said in a statement to People magazine.
“This is not a political issue, it is a family issue,” the statement continued. “Jill and I want only the best for all of our grandchildren, including the Navy.”
During Tuesday’s White House press conference, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about Roberts’ upcoming book and whether the president had met Navy Joan.
“I have nothing to share,” Jean-Pierre told reporters.
