Hunter Biden accused of stiffing LA landlord out of over $300,000 in rent after being pardoned by dad Joe

Hunter Biden allegedly forced two Venice landlords to pay a total of more than $380,000 in rent, sources close to the property owners claim.

DailyMail.com revealed last year that Hunter owed Sweetgreen CEO and co-founder Jonathan Neman $80,000 in back rent after leaving his Venice rental property trashed, according to sources briefed on the dispute.

And now Shaun Maguire, a partner at San Francisco investment giant Sequoia, has come forward claiming Hunter also owes him at least $300,000 after failing to pay rent for “more than a year” in 2019 and 2020.

“What happens to the $300,000+ in back rent Hunter Biden owes my family from 2019-2020,” Maguire wrote on X on Sunday.

The outraged Californian venture investor spoke out hours after Joe Biden pardoned Hunter for his convictions for gun and tax crimes, as well as for all other uncharged crimes committed over the past decade, despite the president’s repeated promises not to doing.

“Hunter was our tenant in Venice, California. I haven’t paid rent in over a year,” Maguire added. “He tried to pay w[ith] an art book made from his own feces.

‘He changed the locks and deployed the Secret Service to enforce it. We had no access to the property.”

Maguire’s home in Venice is a four-bedroom, 2,926-square-foot home on Louella Avenue, which he bought in 2017 for $2.5 million and is now worth an estimated $4.25 million.

Hunter Biden is accused of missing out on more than $300,000 in rent while renting a property in Venice, California, with his family in 2019 and 2020, DailyMail.com has learned

The allegations emerged just hours after father Joe Biden announced he was pardoning his troubled son for his gun and tax crime convictions

The gated property features a master suite “bathed in natural light and with access to a private balcony with serene treetop views and coastal breezes,” according to a Redfin ownership notice.

The home’s “spa-like master bathroom” is “reminiscent of a five-star resort, with marble finishes, double sinks, a frameless glass double rain shower, a freestanding tub, plenty of natural light, extra linen storage and a walk-in shower.” closet,” the ad said.

On the third level, the property has a rooftop fire pit and sauna with “breathtaking panoramic views of the sunset and palm trees.”

DailyMail.com has contacted Hunter for comment.

After leaving Maguire’s property with an alleged $300,000 debt, Hunter, his wife Melissa and baby Beau moved to another rental home in Venice, rented for $25,000 a month.

But the president’s son was later accused of vandalizing and failing to pay rent on that house.

“Hunter and Melissa were terrible tenants. Not only did they charge the owner months of rent, they also left the house in a terrible state,” a source with knowledge of Hunter’s lease told DailyMail.com last year.

At the time, the imposing three-story building was owned by Jonathan Neman, CEO and co-founder of Sweetgreen.

The source added: “They were totally disrespectful to Jonathan and [his wife] Leora’s property.

Shaun Maguire, a partner at San Francisco investment giant Sequoia, came forward on Sunday to claim Hunter also owed him at least $300,000 after failing to pay the $4.25 million rent on his property in 2019 and 2020.

Maguire sounded off in a series of X-posts claiming Hunter ‘hadn’t paid rent in over a year’

“Melissa was rude and entitled. They destroyed the stereo equipment in the house and when someone came to fix it, they wouldn’t cooperate. They also left the place dirty.”

According to a well-placed source, the former owner was only able to move out of the property after cleaning up the Bidens’ mess and was left out of pocket when 53-year-old Hunter short-changed him by more than three months’ rent.

Neman, who co-founded the hip farm-to-table salad chain with Nicolas Jammet and Nathaniel Ru in 2007, declined to comment on the president’s son’s lease when contacted by DailyMail.com.

But the source said: ‘Neman decided not to take Hunter to court over the late payments. It’s not like he needed the money, and honestly it was embarrassing.”

The 3,700-square-foot home on the edge of the Grand Canal features 80-foot acoustic ceilings and modern limestone floors in the living room.

The modern space opens onto a large kitchen island and open dining area.

It has only two bedrooms but both are master suites with one expanding into a lounge with access overlooking the pool and a marble bathroom.

The other loft-style bedroom has a separate bath and shower and opens onto a private balcony overlooking Venice’s historic canals.

Hunter, his wife Melissa and baby Beau later moved to another rental home in Venice, rented for $25,000 a month (pictured), but he has since been accused of trashing and failing to pay rent on that home.

Hunter and Melissa lived in Neman’s house in Venice for only about six months before moving to Malibu.

The latest allegations come after father Joe Biden’s shocking announcement Sunday night that he will grant a presidential pardon to Hunter, calling his prosecution “selective” and “unfair.”

The reversal decision grants Hunter a pardon for any crimes he may have committed “from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.”

Not long ago, the White House had denied that the president would take this drastic step in the final months of his lame-duck presidency.

Biden himself said in June that he would “not pardon” his son, unlike Trump, who has said outright that he wants to pardon the January 6 rioters.
